- Create folders prefixed with 'CAT_' in the GAME, GAME150, GAME5XX or ISO folder.
- Fill them with everything you want to appear for that specific category (if you have the same category name in two or more folders they will be mixed).
- Keep the Sony file length limitations in mind, due to the name of the category being added to the total length, the length of each filename will increase even more. If a corrupt icon shows up, try lowering the length of the filename.
- Boot your PSP, open vshmenu and select the appropriate category (a new option will be added by the plugin, this will happen seamlessly and everything should keep working).

Notes:
- If you change category while currently in the game menu, it will automatically leave the game menu and recache the directory.
- A 'Show all' and 'Uncategorized' option are available in case you need them.

Just before I was about to release this plugin, I saw MK2k's APPSwitcher hit the forums.
After checking it out I still believe that this plugin is useful to release for numerous reasons.

Differences:
- No need for a configuration file, everything is detected.
- Convenient integration in the vshmenu for quick switching.
- Patches the IoFileMgr driver directly instead of renaming the folders.
- Loads entirely in kernel memory as opposed to user memory (reduces crashes).
- Recaches the game menu without anything required to be done by the user.
- It has 'Show all' and 'Uncategorized' options.

Nonetheless, I thank MK2k for his contribution to the scene.

It better be worth it, I spend a few hours reversing parts of the vshmenu and applying patches to add and control a new entry without leaving kernel mode

something bit different than the others, however i would like if buttons could also be used , ie R / L trigger if the user is highlighing the Game Icon

i take it this change the text beside the Game Icon, to the name of the category you using

If it were possible, and you did it, you would be moved from PSP King to PSP God on my list

Yes, that's what the 'Uncategorized' option is for, and obviously they will also show up when choosing the 'Show All' option.

Some bugs:

Some Games/EBOOTs show up as corrupted. (Example: FileAssistant++)
The uncategorised still shows even when there are no uncategorised Games/EBOOTS.
It switches to the UMD icon whenever you change categories.

I know some may not be bugs but it might help you

As the readme says, you need to reduce the length of the filenames if they show up as corrupted due to Sony length limitations.
I did so on purpose to show the option is available, I don't think it hurts that much.
This is because it reloads the memory stick so it recaches the game directory, it's normal.

Edit: I've found a different little bug, fixed, anyone who has downloaded it before, please redownload it.

Thanks guys. I usually procrastinate trying new stuff, but I'm putting this on my PSP right away !

I have a 16 GB memory stick with TONS of stuff on it.
This, to me -might be the most useful plugin ever !
