I can successfully stream video to my PSP, but the program is unstable. It keeps crashing on me while playing. BTW, I've also installed JockyW's PMPVLC Player 0.0.9 for fw1.5 and it's very stable. Do you think you can fix the stability issues? Thanks!

No. This is special version for AVC decoding. TheKing, if you activated some plugins for game(game.txt). Program may crash. But this version has the same codec library with 0.0.9 version...

ardatan, I don't have any plugins installed. I've tested it on both my Phat & Slim PSP. They both crashed while playing video. Sometimes, it even crash at the network connection dialog window. Do you think you can release the source code?

Good job on this homebrew! It's useful for me since I stream my satellite tv over the net
![]() There is a problem though, the psp player crashes randomly after five minutes. Sometimes the wifi led shuts off or its still on but the program crashes and I'm unable to get any response from the psp. I'm using version 1.1 btw. I hope these issues are fixed because the software looks very promising!

For thost who encounter random crashing problem. You should try the original version by JackyW. It works under 5.00M33-3. I've been using it for hours without a single crash. Here is a direct download from JackyW site.
http://www.fx-world.org/download/joc...t-binaries.zip For release details, you can visit the below URL. This homebrew was released in early 2007. http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.p...pmpvlc&start=0 |

(by you, etc)some freezes are seen because of ffmpeg codec files in the source code... we have remade the port of ffmpeg... And we'll add WMV support and you can play streams directly on psp without vlc or tv card...
Note: We(P86) and my testers didn't seen any problem... JockyW's version has some problems with networking... I think you saw a crash (once) in NetDialog... Didn't you? |

ffmpeg converting functions aren't working in 5.XX kernel... We are trying to use ffmpeg codec func. in 5.xx kernel... In next version, TVSP MMS will be released... I think we can add this version ASX support for watching TV streams without VLC...

I have the same problem as TheKing.
I use PMPVLC009_JockyW with use_avc_hw = 1; res_horiz = 480; res_vert = 272; vid_bitrate = 800; vid_fps = 25; and it run's very stable. PMPVLC11_M33_P86 stops with this values after 15s. Maybe PMPVLC11_M33_P86 does not use the hardware decoder? -- Kerm |
