Congratulations a noob! Great plugin!

I suggest to you use the analog stick, to the right and left, to change effects instead L and R triggers. Why? Because the L and R triggers I use to skip chapter in videos.

Or, enable this option as a pop up in vsh menu, pressing select in XMB.

Just ideas...

Can you add option to chanage key config or block color chanages ?
And can you try add Pseudo 3d stereoscopy lines ( red and blue ) ?
And you should add custom color editor in txt config file .

I meant if each effect was a serperate prx and one prx (the pop up menu) was the only one listed in vsh.txt & game.txt

15. actually that conf file isn't too hard to understand, but I still think some sort of pop up menu where u can choose different effects from would be the best choice..

17. Very cool a_nood. About what you should do the this (menu, etc) I like the random L, or R option. Maybe just add a key configure, because people always complain about that.

18. There will be a small menu, the conf has nothing to do with that the conf will juse define the effects and save ur last effect and hot keys.

19. okay, sounds great I was thinking about some other effects u could do..what about a lava lamp effect a bit like Art did in Time Baby? that would be sweet or maybe the fire/flame effect that was also in that? don't know if they're even possible but they would be pretty sweet effect to have in the XMB :)

21. Check Recovery, Make sure it's enabled, Disable all vsh plugins, and if you have fatmsmod, remove it.

Hello. I've got a few suggestions (if your still taking any).

*Multiple vertical, horizantle, or, 90 degree r-g-b lines Screen.
*Multiple dots screen.
*Grain and scratches screen.
*Totally White, totally black, or, r-g-b (respectively), Mask screen for 10%, 25%, 50%, or, 75% of screen (or whatever possible.). ^^
*Sepia, bnw, or inverted tint screen (again, used like my last 'mask' screen).

Not sure if this is even possible. If so, the ideas are all yours!

23. cracked screen, great idea have you ever played burnout dominator? there's a great cracked screen effect in that game (though you've got to play it for a while to see it at its best)

it'd make an awesome (though pretty scary to the noobs) easter egg:) if you left it out of the list of effects but had some sort of long term random activation

well thats what i'd do, but maybe i've got a sick sense of humour, lol

By 4 Im thinking you mean a semi transparent color over the XMB, but I have no clue on the others.

i dont know if it would really make me "love my PSP as if it was new again" as was quoted in.. "another".. thread.. but it will certainly jazz up my relatively lame fatPSPs so-called custom themes..

so cheers for this.. i cant wait to see what else you are able to add into the mix..

as for ideas.. i have several.. though i dont know if they are relevant to what you are editing/coding or whatever you call it. but you told us to suggest things.. so here goes..

- a blur effect where focus or focal-point changes depending on what is highlighted/selected
- a smoke/cloud/mist/fog effect filter or whatever its called
- some sort of overlay displaying the time and date (or whatever else) in place of the XMB wave (i dont know if that is part of what you are doing)
- a pixel effect.. (maybe the "multiple dots" suggestion relates to this)
- the "cracked screen" effect sounds good
- some sort of "Plasma Effect" like was seen in Art's TimeBaby..
- a flame effect as seen in the "Hello World POC" way back in the TIFF Exploit days.. AND also seen in Art's TimeBaby
- warping/liquid effect.. as if being wiewed under moving water
- invisible background.. meaning have some sort of "virtual PSP Internals" show through the XMB (that sounds stupid.. i hope you know what i mean)
- include Mr305's whole package as a single effect.... as credit for the idea of course..

all in all im pretty impressed.. even though that doesnt mean much coming from me.. but still, this is something different to the norm

That can be done by changing the background to that of a PSP's innards. I used to have one but I don't know what I did with it.

I don't get what you mean here, his "package" is a whole different plugin [which does pretty much the same thing as this, but with different effects [completely flipped XMB, mirrored XMB, etc.]

29. ahh ok then.. i thought the one by Mr305 was a bit simpler than that.. i guess il have to try them both out.... and now i see that there is actually a release on that thread.. didnt see it at first.. so my bad

yeah i remember those background images... i cropped and editied several myself.. and some pretty good ones too, and i know how to change the wallpaper (im not that dimwitted)and change themes etc, but what i meant is an actual "effect".. as with the "glass effect" in Vista.. with EVERYTHING transparent and the "guts" of the PSP showing through even the XMB menu text and icons etc.., perhaps with (as you suggested) one of those "internal" images to enhance the effect..

Hmm. Only way I see that happening is placing the picture of the psp internals over the xmb with some sort of transparency [not sure what would look best]. I would just try to edit a theme and make the icons semi-transparent. Other than that idk if it'd be doable to have it like you said.
