Well I'll link to the video I upload later today.
It wouldn't exactly be fair to judge it entirely on still pictures because admittedly, they are crap. There is also some fun to be had programming for it. I was almost going to write a camera app myself, with finer adjustments, and some effects including negative. It wouldn't be too hard beginning from the Chotto cam sample. |

yess, Art is on the case.. a homebrew camera utility
... and Mr305 i know that while quality is necessary, i wasnt really talking about that, i am referring to the "unexplored" possibilities that are there, meaning that there has got to be alot more that can be done with it..id say (on a general guess) that less than 1% of PSP owners have the Go!Cam/Chotto.. so its gotta be something that is as-of-yet "untapped" in regards to what it can do. and il back up Art's claim regarding the pic-quality and the vid-quality.. the pics are nothing to be proud of (more like a standard webcam's results) but the videos are as smooth (if not better) than any ive ever recorded on another device at the same resolution etc.. i have several webcams and MiniDV and an Everio.. one thing i need to state so there is less disappointment out there, is that the Go!Cam/Chotto quality is optimum in daylight, or at least a brightly lit room.. the darker the environment gets, the more the camera suffers.. of course you could just enhance it with some standard or IR LEDs.. anyway.. Mr305, im sorry this was way off the threads topic, but i just had to mention my thoughts on the Go!Cam.. having just recently acquired mine

Unfortunately this plugin breaks M33-4's VSHMenu. Just a heads up.

so use a different one.. something like Ketchups XMB Recovery GUI (or whatever its called) if its possible. then you have the WHOLE recovery accessible from the XMB... and have the VSHMenu disabled.
just an idea.. though im not certain it'll work. im not upgrading to find out |

Hey thanks for the reply. Good to hear some developer feedback regarding some new ideas to tweak the Go!Cam. I think some really useful tweaks could come from this. Good work everyone, keep it up. Our Go!Cams could use a little more functionality, since Sony is slow to respond to ideas from users, it is up to the hombrewers to fill that void. Again, awesome work devs! |

Looks like a bug, better fix it.
Btw it looks a whole lot uglier than my mom. Also v0.7.729 wtf is that supposed to mean? I'd really like to know how you track that xD. Last edited by a_noob; 12-09-2008 at 10:08 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Honest to god, the blatant rivalry needs to stop. I've seen nothing but bull**** come from your end, with Mr305 enduring it continuously. I can see where you're coming from, but it's nothing short of childish. Just grow up and stop

Mr305.. i dont know if this is a bug/glitch etc..
im using this on a Fat with 3.71 M33-4... when i use any of the mirror effects or the XMB flip effect i am left with "ghosting" (or whatever you'd call it) in the top-right quarter of the screen.. for example.. i always use the original default blue XMB background (does the same thing with anything else also) and all the colour filter effects work great. but the mirror and flip effects, while they work perfectly, they leave a dark area that covers the top-right corner (approx. 2" wide and 1" high) and it stays there until i fully power it off and then on.. i dont know if this is something on my PSP or with your plugin.. i dont have any theme files or any other alterations present, theres no other plugins enabled (or present) and its a fresh install of 3.71 M33-4 too. while its a bit annoying visually and spoils the effect.. its not a problem and it doesnt do anything besides look "out of place".. so its not a big deal.. but being that this is a visual enhancement, the visuals are the priority.. anyone tried the FULL MIRROR effect with driving games etc ?? i can imagine that would be a major trip just like in the movie "Cars"" STEER LEFT TO GO RIGHT!! STEER LEFT TO GO RIGHT!! " also has anyone else noticed how "different" the Phat PSP feels when its upside down ?? and i dont mean the d-pad/button swap..... and.. not that i play it upside down often... |

![]() For me, My PHAT PSP feels a lot ligter if held upside down. I actually got the motivation to do TweakDisplay when I thought "how would it feel if all buttons and the screen flipped to work upside-down"

oh well, not to worry..
hey regarding one of your mirror effects... you know the one that covers the lower quarter of the screen reflecting everything above it.. that would look totally wicked if it were a ripple effect at the bottom.. ive got a screensaver on my PC that looks very much like that mirror effect but with the water-ripples at the bottom... i tell ya.. with a "sunset" backdrop or a "landscape" or "horizon" image it looks awesome.. and seeing your plugin's mirror effect, i thought it would definately look cool on a PSP.. if you want i can upload the screensaver so you know what i mean, but i think its pretty easy to understand... imagine looking out over the ocean, with the water reflecting the setting sun, or the moon at night.. now picture that on the PSP with that mirror effect done the same way.. and you're right, i knew it felt different.. i know its NOT lighter cos its the same PSP, but i guess having the center of gravity at a different point in your hands makes it feel that way.. oh by the way.. dig the "4-bit colour" effect.. i know its kinda lame compared to the other effects, but im pretty old compared to you guys, so im probably a bit lame myself lame goes with lame... and all is good
