dude, sounds great but the link is set to "private" on your MediaFire page..
also, is it possible for this to reduce the screens brightness level to a "lower-than-default" level?... for example i want to be able to play games/watch videos at night, and even the lowest default brightness level is too bright, and the flickering annoys my girl.. as i understand, the brightness range is 00-99 for the screen.. this plugin can max it out to "99" so i know increasing it is possible.. is it also possible to lower it to say "15" or even "05".. because that would really help to improve my... umm.. love-life being that my girl is starting to "dislike" my PSP-ness <--- say that last part out loud

i have a new release system, and i didn't want to just go through and delete my release threads. yes this new version allows you to lower the brightness as well ans increase it. lowest you can go without the back light shutting off is 28 however. i use it at night, saves battery and doesn't strain the eyes as much. thanks

Great Plugin! Especially with the recent release of bookr v8.0!
I've long been on the hunt for a plugin that would allow me to change the screen brightness below the lowest default setting, because even on level 1 the brightness is to high to read longer texts on the PSP, even with inverted colors (background black, writing white), but there simply haven't been any. The next Version of Hold+ is supposed to have this feature integrated also, but as of today, it isn't released yet. The lowest backlight setting you can chose, using the plugin - and without turning the backlight completly off - is 8 btw, not 28 as mentioned above. The difference between this setting and default backlight level 1 is huge. thanks again, and keep up the good work! notimp |

Two more findings. Be sure to disable the automatic screen shutdown under energy savings in the VSH menu, or there will be a short "flash" every few minutes or so - which is quite irritating.
And second, edit the powsave.ini so that both the values 30 and 28 (I guess 28 is the default screen brightness that is used as soon as the battery gauge hits 30 percent) are simply replaced by 8. Took me a while to find out, why the plugin suddently seemed to stop working and the brightness was set to the lowest default value (which is much higher than 8...), without me being able to change it... |
