Default [release] custom firmware 5.02 team omega

5.02 OMEGA TEAM CUSTOM FIRMWARE
-------------------------------

He was recently published a custom firmware made by a Chinese programmer
that despite being a 5.02 removed support for ISO / CSO.

So we decided to release our version of 5.02. We hope you enjoy it,:)

Update:

1. Put the files included in this package in the folder UPDATE
2. Place the EBOOT OFFICIAL 5.02 in the UPDATE folder renamed to 502.PBP
3. Launch the application and follow the steps

CHANGES:

- UPDATED core 5.02
- Again support for ISO / CSO
- From new support for PSX games

BUGS:

- Sometimes the pops does not work properly, if you're a player mostly recommend PSX
which continues in 5.00 M33-4 or the 3.95 GEN But try this version because a lot of people who
our version is proven to work correctly.

We hope you enjoy this version,:)

Thanks to Dark_Alex for their firmware, to Miriam for their help in the creation of this firmware (long hours
talking about how to make the patches), and all those who decide to try it.

A NOTE TO THINK THAT THIS IS ONE MOD OF M33:

Try decompress the PRX in this case and you will see that not is a hexedit version, :) :humped:

About to try this out but does anybody know what is being said here?

A lot of homebrew & plugins are broken (which most likely happens when you update). Luckily Recovery Flasher 1.50 still worked. Went back to 5.00 M33-4.

just get 5.00 m33-4, dont use this custom firmware, use dark alex's 5.00 m33-4, it has all of the same features plus more!! go to here http://rapidshare.com/files/170591048/500m33_4.zip download it, read the instructions, and get the 500.pbp eboot from http://www.psp-hacks.com/download.php?id=1568 jst extract than and rename it to 500.pbp. yeah, this is definetely an alternative to m33's firmware... i cant really understand why people need to bash every custom firmware releases out there.

Most plugins designed for 5.00 which have a check for 5.00. I believe they are the ones that do not work ;)

Not an M33 mod? The modules say different...

There are countless similarities in the source. At least admit 99% of the code here is based on M33, otherwise, go **** yourself.

Countless custom firmwares were just hex edits of the M33 modules rather than recompiling. Yes, every custom firmware is based off M33, I mean, why create a new one when the current one works fine?

Does that make this right then? No, he is touting that this custom firmware was developed entirely by himself, even though it still uses code taken directly from M33. That puts it in the same league as those hexedits, regardless of the fact that it was recompiled. Just another idiot seeking fame, he/she should be ashamed.

Erm, what?
Yes it does. He had to reverse engineer the code to recompile it. I dunno about you but thats a pretty task on its own.
Then, they had to update the custom firmware to 5.02.

So really its based off the CPU instructions of M33 and not the direct source code.
