5th brightness?
on phat too?
if you look at it close
you can't notice a difference
if you look at if from far
you can notice a VERY VERY VERY small difference in lighting
so i think it doesn't do anything

OK don't get me wrong I love hold+, But doesn't the 5th bright level defeat the purpose of a prx of this caliber? Hold+ is supposed to save battery life. Plz don't deter from that.
Is the faulty switch protection better in this version than the last? My switch is bad.
P.S. thanks and happy new year!

Faulty switch should be fixed completely for most cases. The only way to implement the 5th brightness seamlessly is through Boosters syscon hook method used here. Only one hook can exist at a time, so i added it here. Its only active when you set it at that level. People who want to save battery use a low setting anyway.
Oh, Ok thanks for the clarification, I'm installing it now. But I have 11 memory sticks so it will be a while lol.
Crap i have a phat and a slim so should i use 3.51?
edit
Nevermind i was drinking last night with it being new years and all... I read the change log and realized that 3.51 would be best for me.

Torch the 5 brightness level works well on XMB but in in game!! can you make it work in game too ?? btw thanx
I'm definitely going out and buying an extended battery for my slim. I seen 4 at Best Buy yesterday, not really paying too much attention to it, and didn't know until a few minutes ago that Sony is discontinuing them :Argh:
Extended battery + Hold plugin = less running around to find an outlet at the airports and bus stations for a quick charge before re-boarding
PSP Go (White)/FW 6.20/HBL Rev91/4GB SanDisk M2
Torch, excellent update once again. Is it possible to add the semi-brightness setting the PSP switches to after some time of inactivity?
Would it be a good idea to implement an optimized version of cpu modulator v0.20 with hold+ v3.5? If so, that would make it save even more power. It would be good if it had a log in which games could run at variable ranges.
-i don't know if i can request that O_O (sounds good to me)
What do y'all think?
Is this possible enable of half or 2/3 brightness level? Or both? Then It will with 7 options of brightness! Will very useful for those play in the dark, and it will save battery!
Just ideas...
great plugin. thanks!
Torch.. i have kind of a request if you dont mind reading..
im just wondering if you could provide a edited/custom version of Hold+ that doesnt reduce the CPU and BUS speeds.. then we could use the plugin with RemoteJoy and have the CPU still at 222/333 and the BUS left alone, but still have the other powersaving benefits like screen-off and/or backlight off.. of course the buttons, USB and analog would still have to work, or RemoteJoy wouldnt...
perhaps even an update which includes a configurable option to leave the CPU/BUS speeds at their default/max values for use with RemoteJoy as stated above..
if you dont feel its worth it, of course that is fine. it kinda goes against the basis of the plugin (power saving) but i feel it would probably be a useful addition to have. anyway thanks for reading, and if you consider doing this, thank you in advance :)
This work like a charm, thx! It's nice that it won't disable the PSP remote control (nn to press the SELECT button). Endless playback time + it = mp3 player!
Updated to v3.6
Implemented Fast Scroll Music functionality into Hold+.
Is it possible to get better explanation on how to install this?
I've been in the PSP scene for a while (user) and I've hardly ever had any issue with any homebrew... But I'm not familiar with this type of thing.
[RELEASE] Hold+ v3.8 - Battery Saver Plugin
thats the new version
1. put the .prx in the folder seplugins in the root of your memorystick
2. In VSH.txt and GAME.txt in de seplugins folder, add an extra line with the name of the prx, a space and then a 1 so:
hold.prx 1
if its called hold...
