[WIP] Unofficial Picodrive Rewind Mod

Hi everybody,

It's been a long time since I released a mod for a PSP emulator, but finally I have a little spare time.

And for those who likes "rewind" mod, I'm happy to announce that Sega Genesis emulator, Picodrive, it's nearly to have their respective rewind mod (sorry, no mirror display)

I hope to have this finished within a week and made a final release, but if someone want to try a "preview", there is a link for download this unnoficial Picodrive version (tested on a PSP FAT FW 3.90 M33). BTW, Rewind key is asigned to "R TRIGGER".

Yeah, that's true. It's because I'm negotiation access to a later version with notaz (main developer of Picodrive), and that will depend on how this functionality works in version 1.35b.

Hey Davex your mods for emulators are the best rewind is my favorite but i can't get this to work on my psp slim 5.00 m33-4. If there is a way to do this it would be great thanks davex your the best tronpsp

Yes, I had to start emulator from directory GAME150 for 1.5 kernel. I have PSP Phat with 5.00M33-4 + 1.5 kernel addon

I would love to see the NesterJ rewind mod for 3xx... Is there any reason why there hasn't been a 3xx release?

Say I don't know if its possiable but it would be cool if you could make the rewind function a plugin so it would work on all emulation (just a thought) thanks, tronpsp

Can't wait to try this out. I love all the other mods from DaveX; RIN (GB, GBC), NesterJ (NES), SMSPlus (Sega Master System) and now this! I wish more developers would see how much improved this makes the emulators. I finally beat Ghosts 'N Goblins on the NES and it was still challenging even with the rewind button :P

Hi,
Just wanted to say the mod is very cool. It's really great to be able to rewind some of the harder Gen games on the PSP.

I was wondering if you made an update to this yet. The only real "problem" I noticed is that it doesn't make thumbnail pictures for the saves. Not a huge deal, but it can be a little confusing sometimes.

Also, if you could work this into the newest version of PicoDrive that would be perfect.

PS: The Capcom CPS1 mod is good, but the version it was based on used different roms than the newest version so I wasn't able to get all the games to work. A couple of them caused the PSP to lock up, but it may be the CPS emu and not the mod.
