Default gripShift pong

It just feels wrong when a hello world is not followed by pong, so I made a simple one (still needs a bit more work).

If anyone cares it’s called GripShift Pong v1.0

There’s no sound yet because, I have no reference to the sound function yet.

I recycled some code from the hello world example, and just coded pong off of that.

I did not include the source code (it’s at home). If anyone wants it just let me know, I’ll put it up at a later time.

ok, i created a pongfuncs.c file, and put almost all of my code there.

then commented out the snowflake code in the hello world and pointed to my pongfuncs.c file with an #include command.

the "main loop" just calls the pong(); function which then runs the rest of the code.

thats cool man, i heard you say you were not the one that made it.

ON A SIDE NOTE, for anyone that is interested in creating homebrew with this exploit, and dont want to have their UMD in the drive all the time,

if you make your legally owned GripShift game into an ISO, it will run the code too

it loads faster then the UMD.

but of course it will only work on a hacked psp.

A couple general questions I'm wondering:

Does this indicate that PSP-3000 will never be able to utilize a Pandora's battery, even if a downgrader is produced which enables CFW?

Also, is it true that the PSP-3000 series disables anything which uses a kernel lower than 4.xx, just as PSP-2000 disables anything lower than 3.xx?

If so that means that the only brew which will work is that which was specifically programmed for 4.xx or higher kernels.

And while Pandora's main function is for switching firmwares, it is also immensely useful for recovery and as a hook for loading TimeMachine. AFAIK there is no other way to load 1.5 kernel homebrew on Slims except by using a Pandora's battery. Without TimeMachine it would also be impossible to load 3.xx kernel homebrew (which works on PSP-2000).

So the one downside to PSP-3000 brew may be that all homebrew designed with a kernel below 4.xx will not be usable.

I hope I'm wrong about this, but that's what I'm thinking at this point.

Theoretically, the note about >4.20 is probably true. Also, it is impossible to say whether or not it will never work, as it is impossible to know.

Well, the vast majority of homebrew is actually user mode, so it will work fine on the 3.00. Plus, the kernel is the same. If the PSP 1000 and 2000 can run it on that firmware, so can the PSP 3000. It's more the firmware that cannot be loaded more than homebrew.

It's almost done, just need to update the SDK too. I won't release it until I've done the Japanese version too (which won't take too long though) and FreePlay has come online to encrypt it for me.

Oh, and the Korean savedata isn't much use without the game...
