Hi!

I'm here to release LightMP3 version 2.0.0 RC1
There are a lot of things I'd like to implement/fix/change but I don't really have much time to dedicate to this project, so I'm releasing it now.
In this release there are many bugs fixed and some new features (like the sleep now working and support for filename with foreign characters).

Please read the README, there are lot of informations (and some useful notes for korean language).

Here's the full changelog:

-Added: You can sort records in the Media Library (press TRIANGLE)
-Added: support for filename with foreign characters (àèìòù...)
        Many thanks to cooleyes for the FAT driver
-Added: cpu clock set to minimum value when music is paused
-Added: French, German, Polish, Spanish language
-Added: Smoother progress bar
-Added: Icons for folder/music in file browser and media library
-Added: New ICON0.PNG and PIC1.PNG (many thanks to dario1crisafulli)
-Added: Display will turn off when HOLD is set to ON, and will turn on when HOLD is set to off
-Added: In Media Library when you select an artist you see an album's list (not a song list)
-Added: You can add a playlist to the current one by pressing start in the file browser (or square on the directory containing the playlist)
-Added: Option to change the media library root dir (look at the file "settings", this option doesen't appear in the settings tab)
-Fixed: Crash with some album art (switched to libjpeg, thanks to Kevin Kim)
-Fixed: Better Korean support (thanks to Kevin Kim)
-Fixed: Strings are limited inside the menu area.
-Fixed: Sleep bug for MP3 and ATRAC3+ files (doesen't work with OGG)
-Fixed: Some crash in the Media Library.
-Fixed: Bug in audioscrobbler log (wrong UTC time)

Yes, be sure to install the default one that comes with this release, old themes should work without problems.

EDIT: tested and works on 3.71 m33-2.

There is a bug when you are playing a playlist and you press circle the app crashes and gives a blue screen (it has been there since the first version). :|

I cannot reproduce this, I tried with 4/5 playlists but the app doesen't crash.
Can you please give more details?

your problem is your firmware. nothing works right on 3.71m33

I don't know if this is the problem: I tested the app only on CF 3.52 M33-4 and 5.00 M33-4.

Hi Sakya,

For the first time i tried the "scan MS for media" to make library, and it don't work.

I have only MP3's, only in the PSP\MUSIC\ folder
In scanning for media it makes a BSOD,after that i have no tracks in library and when i re-schearch for medias, it check some folder then stop and say "-3 media files found" unless i delete manually the .db file

Sorry for your eyes i'm french ^^

Mmmmm... -3 is ML_ERROR_SQL maybe you have some mp3 with some character (in the filename or tag data) not valid in a sql command.
I'll fix the scanning routine to bypass the file and pass to the next (now it exits with the error).

No, no log is written while scanning the ms.
If you play some files, do they get added to the media library?

@infinity888: Yes, if you use the ME you can lower the cpu clock but the equalizer doesen't work.

Well, it does work on 3.71 m33-2 and i haven't been able to reproduce the bug either, if something happens i'll let you know.

Finally i haven't school today.

With the new EBOOT i get exactly the same problems.

After re-reading the readme

, i found a solution :
set ML_ROOT=ms0:/MUSIC/ which is my music folder

Then the problem seems appear with an faulty homebrew mp3

I suggest put the "ML_ROOT" part at the top in the readme or something like that.

For the feedback, it's normal : you make an FREE excellent program, the minimum for the users is to help you in the developement

This is a problem with Korean translation.
Just open the file with notepad..

Hey, i don't know if this is a bug or not but... whenever i use a playlist and set it to "random" the music plays "at random" but is always the same order like 1-6-55-22-3 and the next time i use the program and play it it plays the same order. D:

I don't have a japanese translation and I don't speak japanese.

If you want you can translate it, and I'll try to include japanese support. The font is present on the flash, so there souldn't be many problem.
Use SHIFT-JIS encoding.
