Just want to share with everyone that we finally released our homebrew game for PSP. It is a PSPGL/SDL Helicopter shoot 'em up as a kind of tribute (or rip off) of the old Desert Strike.

I suppose seeing that I already posted to New Helicopter shoot 'em up homebrew is coming., I'm a bit guilty of spamming.

anywho, for ppl who well ***** for screens, and don't feel like going to their site:

looking at the images, the only suggestion i have atm, is to make the helicopter a little bigger

wow this is pretty dificult lol i like it though... when i saw it i was thinking it reminded me of this one game were ur a helicopter and u have to go rescue people before their village or area they are at gets destroyed. but this is cool to.. if u added something like that to this as another mission that would be aweosme

Is it 1986 Choplifter for the C64? I played that heaps as a kid and I got it running under emulation on the PSP.

EDIT: i noticed you have a Linux version.. would that mean this is playable on an iPhone or iPod Touch? i dont have one but i thought id ask anyway..

The desert strike series is older than advance. I believe there were two games for PSX, I know there was Nuclear Strike. It was on the N64 as well.

I do really like this game, and it really is a bit of a challenge, but oh so fun.

As far as I know, all the iPlatform dev work is done in xcode on the mac. We'd love to get this thing on an iPod touch and have some ideas as to how to make it work. The fact that the iPod has no buttons and no joystick will make flying and blowing things up interesting. It would be a good excuse to buy an iPod or iPhone though.
