PSP Soundboard (Make soundboards for you PSP)
I got bored and wanted to make a little app that would allow people to make soundboards for the PSP. It is not the best coding I have done, but it gets the job done.
Lua player .20 is included, so you need a phat, or you can get a 3.xx compatible version of lua player.
Note:
You can not stop the sounds from playing.
Here is version 0.1 (alpha)
Screen:

BTW: I was lazy and only have 2 sounds on the example board.

I was cheap and didn't use tables. I just threw it together to tell the truth. I know it is a bad practice not to, and I should have used them, but oh well.

It is not like I have to use tables, :). I may redo it when I feel like it, but for now there is no lag while running it on .20. Lua player HM may lag, but I haven't tried it on that. I just wanted to give a little help to people who do not know any coding that might want to make a little something to call there own.

THis is JUSt what I wanted, now I can put all different kinds of language phrases on my psp and use them in Socom when online. THis way I'll be able to tell the the other players things in their languages. like: He's on your left, he's on your six(behind you), good game, and alot more. THank you soooo much. If I get time, I'll post a video of me using it on Socom Confrontation.

Very cool. I want to use as a cheap and fast sampler while playing with my band. It would be cool if there was a way to map the sounds to the buttons and control pad though. This was I wouldn't have to worry about sliding over too far when playing a particular sound. Also, if you could add mp3 support and perhaps instead of using pngs for the labeling, maybe a simple text display so quicker labeling.
Thanks for sharing. I find it useful as well. :)

Digikid if you want to you can remake this to support mp3 and what not. I am done with it myself. I was originally going to have text, but I got lazy and used PNG images.

Unfortunately every time I try to add my own wavs I get an error and it shuts down. Is there any way you could have it let you pick the wavs on the app? Like a browse for wavs function? That make things a lot easier and faster to setup.
Thanks

Be sure you are putting the wav files in sound and changing the config to the filename, including the extension. Also, try removing any spaces in the filenames and replace the with "_" .

Also ensure that the WAV is the right bit rate. Lua has very specific requirements.
Wait ... does Lua play WAVs ?

Yes, but I'm going to change it to where it uses mp3 files instead.

Make sure you make the code more dynamic if you're planning a recode :)
Just a friendly heads up.

Well for now I'm going to make 2 screens:
1. Just like the original.
2. Using the psp buttons as a shortcut.AIM: Digikid91 | PSN: Digikid13 | GaiaOnline: Digikid13
