Default I'm baaaaaaaack! UMDumper news.

WASSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAPPP!!

Did you all miss me?

I'm still alive and here!

Man this year has been busy as hell for me at university, so much to do and so little time.

So the question on everyones lips, what has happened to UMDumper? When will the next version be out?

Nothing! It's still alive, but progress has been very slow due to my busy life.

At the moment I'm getting ready to roll out a new website, including forums for support and discussion I'm also releasing a new peice of software for the first time called TwiXXer which is a desktop twitter client.

After that has happened, I will be working pretty exclusively on Black Edition. I'll probably release some screenshots of it soon.

What it has working:
UI menu system
Threading manager
UMD management system.
- No longer crashes with video UMDs! It can't rip them still but it won't crash when you put them in.
Information extraction

What doesn't work:
Dumping
Everything else

The initial 0.4.0 (BE) will no longer have the Mp3 player or mini-game, I will be focusing on getting the new code-base out into the wild to see how it performs. Once it's stable and working well I can start to add on extras.

Your thoughts and comments? Tell me you missed me :P

Hey!!! I personally don't think you need a seperate website for UMDumper. No offense intended. I love your program.

Great to hear you continuing. I loved the original UMD Dumper, I liked the simple interface, so I'd love to see the improvements. Keep it up!

It's more a website for me and everything I do and not just UMDumper, seems like the best place to put it

Also at over 50k users, it kind of makes sense to have a discussion forum by now

You know what amazes me though? UMDumper still brings in donations! Not as frequently as it was doing in March 08 when I needed a slim PSP (Nearly £100 in 2 weeks!) but still trickling in. Very cool given that I haven't released a new version in months.

I dunno, I think a seperate UMD dumper tool would be cool. What about if you don't have your PC at hand and want to get a new UMD to ISO on the PSP? Direct copying and even CSO compression would be fantastic without requiring a PC...

...saying that, I really can't remember which one yours was, I used so many back in the days before direct ISO mounting.

Oh and yeah, when you have a reason for cash, donations come in thick and fast, I got over £100 in a few days with Project4... I'd donate if people said what they needed the cash for (like AhMan did).
