iR Shell 4.9 Released

Here is a new iR Shell update, enjoy. You can find a new feature summary below. For a complete list and their usage description, refer to the "Release Note" document in the archive.

New feature summary:
- Support Playstation Network downloable games & demos.

- Interlaced TV support has been added for PSP slim. Games & homebrews launched via iR Shell will inherit the iR Shell TV mode. Most games will run at full speed with default CPU clock.

- For slim PSP TV out, added an option to control the audio output to PSP speaker. This will be useful for docking station with TV out & charging capabilities.

- Added an option to disable Memory Stick MagicGate support. This is meant to be used for PhotoFast microSD to MSPD adapter, or other similar non-MagicGate MS. By disabling the MagicGate support, you will no longer experience the annoying pause in XMB, such as turning on the PSP, switching off USB mode from XMB, quiting game/homebrew back to XMB, entering XMB video directory, etc.

- Added connection timeout support for nethostfs.

- For IR learning remote, added the ability to abort the learning process without waiting for timeout.

- Support user provided font files.

- Plus various bug fixes.

Installation Instructions:
- Unzip the archive and place the content to the root directory of your memory stick. Make sure to apply the irspatch under ms0:/IRSHELL/PATCH directory for your cooresponding firmware version.

Oh my god. I love the new features. I'm actually about to buy the microSD with the MSPD adapter. 16GB, here i come! And i'm really happy with the slim TV out. Thanks a lot Ahman, you're the best.

If you're talking about seplugin, then the answer is no. However, if you don't need iR Shell and just wanna use the disable magicgate function, you can install iR Shell once, execute the iR Shell patch. Then, choose the disable magicgate option in iR Configurator. Afterwards, you can delete the whole iR Shell from MS. The magicgate patch is applied in the flash and will only need to be executed once, until you re-install the CFW or upgrade a newer one.

I REALLY like the option of disabling the MagicGate support for PhotoFast adapters. Everything moves fast just like a normal Pro Duo stick without any problems.

And the entire time I was thinking that the PSP was reading my cards one at a time before it did anything.

thanks for the update, I speak for everyone else when I say iR Shell is the best. I'm waiting for my 32GB of Memory along with the PhotoFast Pro Duo, so disabling the MagicGate support is an awesome feature. Thanks again Ahman...

AGAIN FOR THE UPDATE!!

but question on the 5.00 side of irshell i can't play any mp3's is this normal b/c when i go to the 1.5 ir shell it works just fine! can any one tell me if this is normal or is there any settings i need to change to get it working? plz and thank you if any one can answer my questoin!!!! oh and i'm using a psp phat use to be 1.5 i had it for a loooong time...

AhMan the last time u left i almost cried but so glad ur back. hope to see more of ur work. ir shell is the best brew on the psp and will never be deleted of my ms thank u again.

okay i installed the new irshell 4.9, made the patch for my firmware, and then disabled the magic gate support then went to the xmb but the pause was still there...i thought it was a problem with the firmware,so i installed hellcat and reflashed a 3.71 firmware m33-4, then i went to irshell installed the patch for 3.71 and then disabled the magicgate support but still no effect.help plz.
