LEDA - Legacy Software Loader beta 0.1

Description:
LEDA is a program that integrates into M33 custom firmwares to let some old 1.00/1.50 homebrew to run.
To avoid waste of memory, leda is only loaded when necessary.
Current compatibility is unknown as is still in beta.
Although it may work on previous m33 versions, it has only be tested on 5.00 M33.

The development of LEDA doesn't mean that development of 1.50 kernel addon will be ceased. 1.50 addon is very easy to code, and thus it will still be coded for almost full 1.5 compatibility, but LEDA has some advantages over it.

Advantages:

- It works on slim too
- It doesn't need much flash space
- You don't need to care about which folder your homebrew is.
LEDA first tries to load the homebrew program normally. If it works, then the homebrew is a 3.XX+ one, and leda terminates itself to not waste RAM. Otherwise, leda does some patches to load the 1.0/1.5 homebrew.
- Unlike 1.50 kernel addon, LEDA tries to be independent of firmware. This means that whenever a new version of M33 is released, leda will probably work without need of an update.

Disadvantages:

- Less compatibility. Anyways, I will try to make LEDA compatible with those old homebrew that are still useful today because they weren't updated or because they have a better old version.

Install instructions:

Copy LEDA folder to /PSP/GAME and run it. The program will install a prx in the system, this will be done very quickly. After this, you can already try to run 1.0/1.5 homebrew normally from XMB; LEDA folder is not needed anymore in the ms and you can delete it if you want.

OMG! Nice app! I was waiting for someone to make something like Noobz Eloader. I hated the fact that you needed to go through the whole GUI before starting the homebrew.

Not to nag but can you please explain how it works. Does it just forward deprecated functions? Or does it emulated them? I would like to know more of how this compatability

LOL yeah that's why I put the source URL into the post. Passing dark-alexs work off as my own yeah that will get me far! Dumbasses..... But as to not confuse the stupid I edited the post but the source URL was there since jump street. Better?

Besides all you had to do is read the post to realize those are DAX's words not mine like I would have control over the 1.50 addon being abandon or even know if it was easy to code. All I did was copy the post from dark-alex.org to here and put the source URL so ppl will know about it.

It doesn't have an uninstaller, but anyways you can backup the file pspbtjnf_02g.bin (or pspbtjnf.bin in phat) before running the installer. Flashing it again would remove leda.
Anyways leda doesn't cause any problems in the system, it is only loaded when necessary, so no waste of ram.

The only stupid one here is you. Don't push your mistake onto others by calling them "dumbasses". You should properly credit someone before posting anything that isn't yours. Quoting somebody elses words is probably a good start instead of just copying and pasting something that you didn't write - they've taught you about plagiarism, eh?

And good point in your last paragraph - the biggest hint was that I already knew somebody as incapable as yourself wouldn't be able to make something like this

I didn't comment plagiarism. I put the source URL in my first post. Just look at the download for this on dl.qj.net they put the same thing I did for its description. So I stand by my statement no matter how pampas you try to make your self look your still stupid.

you need to use quotes otherwise in the parts where it says "I" we assume it is you since its your post, but when you use quotes it denotes that someone else wrote it.

I just installed it on my Phat 5.00 M33-4 and only a handful of my current 1.5 hb work so far such as:

Bookr
Doom
NesterJ v1.20beta2 (on rom selection like to scroll up on it's own, without user interaction, but u can still select)
gpSp
RIN GB/GBC
PSP Filer
USB SSS
Road Dog V2c

Tried loading Sega and SNES Emu and they just go back to XMB. But then again it's beta so I'm sure they will work in a future release. I noticed that LocationFree Player is still avail to setup (install 1.5 Add-On & removes it), so that's awesome because I will test out that feature for the first time on my PSP when my LocationBase station arrives tomorrow.

Just wanted to post my thoughts and what worked for me so far.
