OHWELL CAN'T GET IT TO WORK ON XP, NICE TRY THOUGH ALL THE SAME. too much for me to want to wrack my brain at this hour.

you need to write a generalized tutorial on how to properly set this up. I have no server knowledge and that is possibly why I can get it to run.
ok i will do, this uses port 13000 not 1300 or 130000...
when u start up the homebrew, press [] and change the ip address to point to your computer so it will look like
Code:
192.168.1.3:13000
and it should work on xp, i dont see any reason to why not

hey cheers for this..

just a question, i have two other PSP homebrew apps, both called the same name as yours, one is "PSPWebCam v0.2" by X4rr0, and the other is "PSPWebCam v0.8" which doesnt have any reference to an author..

so i was just wondering if you are the author of those two applications also.. i can assume you are not, considering the version numbers of the three apps.. but i thought id ask just to be sure..

the other two that i have function differently to yours, they stream images FROM the PC to the PSP, over USB or WiFi, and allow some "mouse" control too.. if they arent yours you should check em out, you might get some new ideas for your next version..

thanks again for the app

P.S. QJ member Califrag has made an app called SkyPSP WebCam Suite.. check that one out also..

EDIT: im using WinXP 32bit with wireless enabled and internet connected etc, but when i attempt to run the bat file, i get a RegSvr32 error stating the following:

LoadLibrary("vcam.ax") failed. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling this application may fix the problem.

is there something im missing? do i need .NET Framework installed? i copied the PC-folder to various locations, including C:/ but no luck, same error.. i also tried it with a "home-FTP" server application running, still no go.. i havent tried the PSP folder yet because i havent got it working on the PC side, so its irrelevant for now..

hope you can help.. cheers

well this homebrew is my first release, im not related to the development of the other two you listed.
the purpose of this app is to enable users to use their psp as a webcam for their PC

but other than that, im always open to suggestions for new features and or modifications if you feel the need for it

Changed it to the 13000 part in both windows firewall (windows XP HOME) and on the psp and it works like a charm. I guess the only addon I can think of is web based viewing, so that one could log on and check from the net.

what I did:
1. opened windows firewall and went into exceptions.
2. created udp and tcp port of :13000
3. started up psp wificam server on the pc
4. started psp wificam on the psp
5. changed address (MY PC's IP ADDRESS)and port number to: 13000, in psp config (hit square)
6. Connect and enjoy

i did see that, on my PSP i set my PCs IP and port 13000 by pressing square, but the thing is the PC application is not running in the first place.. do i need .NET Framework 2.0 installed? i noticed you said it was made on Vista using .NET 2.0.. sorry if thats a stupid question.

yes, it requires .net 2.0 or later. it was 3.5 but i saw the option of changing it to 2.0 so i did which will make it easier for those who do not with to download 23mb just to make it work

using it as a front door monitor lol. now if only timelapse screenshots were enabled. we have a blizzard on the way and it would be pretty neat to get timelapsed accumulation.

since you have a go cam can you do me a favor? send me a pm and I'll let you know.

yes it works with any program on a windows based machine that uses a webcam.

just make sure you have .Net 3.5 installed before you run 'install.bat'
