Lol I hear that. I was excited about this until i seen its coded in lua. Seems every lua coded shell never works that well. They always seem to crash and restart thats why i hate using them. Well lets hope you can code better then the others.

It is not just that. It's that you are using simple HM functions in a lame shell, we have this happen weekly on here.

99.9% of LUA shells go no where. I highly doupt this will be exception. Even if it is, then it won't be popular. My question is, WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE WASTE TIME ON LUA SHELLS INSTEAD OF JUST MAKING USEFUL LUA GAMES!!!!! There are many suck ass shells in Lua and about four great ones in C++. All the LUA shells are the same to me. I will never use a lua shell. LUA will never be able to produce great shells. Make games instead of these shells. I went into DS Homebrew and I saw many great HOMEBREW GAMES & not a hundred lua shells. I am starting to hate LUA shell creators. And YES THEY ARE SIMPLE HM FUNCTIONS. Ask someone that codes in C and they will tell you how simple the lua functions are. I don't even think u have the right to call him a noob for this thread.

Hell no. Just like 5% of a day spilt over once whenever i am in. It kinda helps with it being one of my homepages so when i pop in after the gym, college, drinking etc and check my homepages i can see stuff and reply. Though tbh i bet that does seem like i am here a fair bit due to the number of times i go in and out the house a day.

It would be an improvement even though it is for games hence the name "Phoenix Gaming Engine" and has less functions i think.

Its looks nice bud, but their are to many LUA shells bumping around that receive no development past the "OMGZ!!1! L00K AT ^WY SH5LL SK!!LS" lol, maybe not as bad as that.

Go make a game, something interesting, and you'll probably get a lot more recognition.

Hmm..is it me or is it that all these shells have the same functions in common? what sets aside your shell from the others? There are to many of these things that just do the same thing over and over again, just like with pong so many versions when will it end?:Argh:

ps:How about adding an AI of talking chicken that runs around on the screen when you do something make it like a interactive helper or something. When your playing a music file it dances and when you left the psp to idle the chicken throw eggs at you to get your attention? wouldn't that be kool i think so do that on you next release an I will so freaking download this shell.

pss:I got a ton more ideas just rotting in my head if you like.

I agree what lua is much much more easier then python or C++, if you hate lua .... and you hate this project becouse of lua, just ignore this topic and do not write that lua is buggy **** or smothing like that, becouse i disagree.

I i'm ready to start developing in C++, have linux with toolchain, just practising with lua at the moment. Now having basic pictures and so on to start rewriting it to C++, it is easier then create everythink from zero, and if you create with lua you can see the fast progress becouse C++ syntax tooks much time.
Ant then i will start coding in C++, i just need to my update page put eboot with config files in package like now it's and you will see C++ coded shell after update all lua scripts would be replaced and unreplaced removed via shell

Thx, kronicali , for your opinion and ideas, waiting more :)

Becouse i see what whis project is with future, and it's as you see is under constructions
we will break lua coding becouse limitations in near future. This works and not so bad like everybody here says. Firstly here Works Update function and Download Homebrews. In future we will add plugins sorter, you will be able donwload install enable disable plugins without using a computer (that is what we want to do), everyhink else like someone say would be like in all other shell but moded with normal GUI and Controls

You know what I think is really wrong with all those shells? Why the hell simulate a mouse pointer?? There is no mouse on the PSP. And the analog is crap. The most intuitive way is using the dpad. I think that's the first thing shell devs should think about instead of spending their time on photoshop trying to mimic a windows environment.
That being said, I haven't tested this shell and will most certainly never do.

since there've been only negative answers I think that I should post a positif one. Great Shell! no really, I've tested it, it's a great work of code you have there can't wait for the next version. But I have to admit most of you guys are right, almost all of the LUA shells suck, but not this one, and neither are the two that I'm working on. the first one Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate v1 (yes, I know, another vista shell...) and the other is a secret Just a hint: it's an ORIGINAL one not a copy of an existing OS.

btw: I don't wanna be mean but.... the vista shell that I'm working on is far more better than this one!:Punk:

OK, maybe I was a little harsh on the lua shells thing. I'm just saying it's not that original. I'll disregard what I said and I will try it.

what you said may be a little harsh but it is true. the only way to make lua just as flexibel as C++ is to have knowledge in C++ and have the LPHM source codes

it's not the exact same thing twice, the only thing thath these two projects have in common is that they're both shells.one is a copy of an already existing OS, and the other is a completely original shell.
