    Exclamation [RELEASE] Lockdown Pack 2

    The various Lockdown applications were getting out of hand so from this update I've consolidated them into a single Pack.

    ========================= =================
    Lockdown Pack 2 Changelog
    ========================= =================

    Lockdown XMB Style updated to v4.1
    ------------------------------------------
    Fixed a critical bug where a new installation of Lockdown XMB Style would hang after entering a new password for the first time.

    Lockdown unchanged at v4.0
    Lockdown In-Game unchanged at v2.0

    Download Lockdown Pack 2: Torch's Release Site

    Lockdown allows you to password protect your PSP from prying eyes.
    You can also protect the Recovery Menu so that the protection can't be bypassed at all.

    Lockdown XMB Style uses the XMB Wave as the background, and is only for the PSP Slim.
    Thanks to Dark_Alex for his VLF library, without which Lockdown XMB Style would have been impossible, and also for adding the Plugins Disable feature in 5.00M33-2

    Lockdown In-Game will require you to enter a password when you resume your PSP from suspend mode. Useful to prevent other people from messing up your progress if you put the PSP in suspend during a game.

    Thanks Torch, i actually encountered that bug a while ago. Have you figured out how to make it skip the SCE Intro yet?

    Skipping SCE intro is probably due to M33 systemctrl incorrectly passing the vshargs to Lockdown. Nothing I can really do about that.

    Did you install it correctly? Renamed the original files to vshmain_real.prx and didn't simply overwrite them?

    I need help.

    It's like my lockdown crashed or something because whenever I enter my pass it says password incorrect when it's correct.

    Is there away I can fix this, if so how do I do it?

    EDIT: Never mind I got it I accidentally entered the wrong pass and for some reason it let me in.

    You must have either overwritten the original vshmain.prx or incorrectly renamed it to something instead of vshmain_real.prx

    Its bricked. If you had followed the readme and only installed it for vshmain.prx first and tested it, you'd still be able to access recovery.

    XMB Style is only for Slim. The rest are for Phat and Slim.

    So, this looks amazing and wonderful and practical and all that jazz, but I look at the date the topic was made, along with the brick warning, and I worry. There's no compatibilities listed; would this work on a 3000 equipped with 6.60 PRO-C2? Would the XMB-style work as well?

    It works with most permanent custom firmware (not HEN). First try replacing just vshmain.prx and see if it works. If not, you should be able to use the recovery menu to restore the original files. If it's successful you can protect the recovery menu as well. The instructions are in the zip file. Be warned that there is no way to recover it if you forget the password on PSP-3000. You will have to send it back to Sony.

    As always, flashing anything has a chance of brickage. I have not tested it on any of the newer non-recoverable PSPs with permanent custom firmware but other have reported that it works.

    Thanks for helping out @Torch. If you want to put together a tutorial with instructions I'd be glad to make it a sticky here for anyone else who has that question. Or if you need updates made to the first post let me know and I'll make the edits.
