You know, Sony limits our memory in Internet Browser. So we cannot play big flash games and open big web sites.
This mod removes this limitation. And you can use all of the memory that your PSP has. If your PSP is Fat, the HighMemMod uses all of 32 MB RAM. If your PSP is Slim, the HighMemMod uses all of 64 MB RAM!!! That's very interesting, isn't it? Now the browser loads your pages in very short seconds! You can play your online flash games fast... The program is beta so it may be buggy. If you see any problems, please reply this topic.... Same here..
EDIT: Ok so after testing it I found out that there is no sound, when an animation on a flash video or game is taking place the cursor lags (sometimes even the whole internet), I was unable to load one flash video while to the other was very very laggy, but web pages were loading pretty fast (Also Home button doesn't work). Also just wondering (this is a little off topic) but is it true that it's not a good idea to have the CPU @ 333 when using the internet since the wireless chip or something has a max of 300? Nice, I assume this is just moonlight's browser sample with maximum memory allocated
that some supposed coding team has taken credit for. I wonder how it is verified that 32Mb/64Mb is available once the browser has loaded? In fact you can be assured that much RAM is not available at all because the browser itself consumes memory. |

@zeratos, ok I'll try to solve this problem...
@slasher2661996, I set the memory 32 MB on Fat and 64 MB on Slim. After that, I tried to open the web pages and flash games which gaves out of memory error in normal browser... And this mod opened it succesfully. Lelouch15 and JK108 tested it on Slim and I tested it on Fat.... My English is very bad, I know but I think you can understand what I mean... |

I thought it'd be quite obvious it doesn't give access to ALL 64mb of RAM. Of course some is taken up by the program. I'm pretty sure what he means is it adds the usage of the extra memory of the slim.

I think i found a bug, when i tried to download a file it didn't allow me to choose "Destination". Another thing is i still experience "There is not enough memory" error after loading a 6 mb flash game and trying to open some web sites on tabs. btw. thanks for the app.

Apparently this ISN'T an april fool's prank
![]() Dude this is awesome. Except what happened to my sound!? Strong Bad stopped talking!!!!! I would like to see this set up so I can view SWF files in it that I selected in irShell and of course if anyone can get the danzeff virtual keyboard I agree with you in sentiment. Danzeff's virtual on screen keyboard PWNs Sony's virtual on screen crapboard. But I don't think that's possible since this is a MOD of sony's official browser, not a new browser. If you want to surf the web on your PSP with Danzeff's OSK, use the Links2 browser. It has no flash unfortunately and of course no frames support but most everything else works pretty good and I've never had it run out of memory. |
