You know, Sony limits our memory in Internet Browser. So we cannot play big flash games and open big web sites.
This mod removes this limitation. And you can use all of the memory that your PSP has. If your PSP is Fat, the HighMemMod uses all of 32 MB RAM. If your PSP is Slim, the HighMemMod uses all of 64 MB RAM!!! That's very interesting, isn't it? Now the browser loads your pages in very short seconds! You can play your online flash games fast... The program is beta so it may be buggy. If you see any problems, please reply this topic.... **What's new** -Selection of the destination directory problem is now fixed. -Used memory is always max. (Not Automatic). -Now it at the startup it will show the max memory which will be used. -The code is cleaned. -New interface at startup and exit. -Added a music and good theme to the EBOOT. (Thanks to Mazide). -EBOOT is now smaller. (Thanks to Mazide) -You can now exit the browser from the HOME button. -"Free RAM" func. **Freeing RAM** -Press Circle and quit from browser. -It will ask if you want to exit or Free RAM. --Link: RapidShare: Easy Filehosting ---Thanks--- -Dark-Alex for his ramtestsample...(Large Memory) -PSPSDK creators...(SDK, DEV and samples) -JK108 and Lelouch15 for their support and test(They are my testers) -Mazide for the good theme(EBOOT). I'm hoping that this is as awesome as it looks but when I execute the eboot, it brings up a prompt screen that tells me that I have a slim and 64mb of ram and the bottom has a circle button. If I press circle I get a black screen that I can use home to get quit from but thats all.

I was hoping for an awesome update, but the same thing happened to me as dra6onfire above.
When I launched the app, a prompt popped up saying that I have a psp fat with the button option of Circle (back). I pressed circle and then another prompt popped up: "Do you want to exit from the browser or reset? If you want to quit, press HOME!. If you want to reset and free RAM, press Back/Circle." I press Circle (back) since that's the only option and the same prompt pops up again and again. It's a loop. None of the other buttons work (only the home button to exit) and there is no option to connect to the internet OR to go the browser screen. I think that when the first prompt showed up about the psp type, one presses the circle button, and by pressing the circle button, the prompt to exit and/or free ram shows up. Just a minor glitch, I guess. You need to add an option to go back to the browser from the exit/free ram prompt. *this browser is awesome! keep up the good work |

Hmm... It's still lagging badly, and sound won't play in flash player. Could you fixed those? Those are the big bugs I found. Oh, and I watched a swf file, it's about 3 MB, and almost at the end, it gave me out of memory error.

The new FW5.00 featured a new extended keyboard layout (querty) which makes URLs, logins and text entry easier to type. This new layout is available pressing SELECT 3 or 4 times in the keyboard screen.
Please add support for this new keyboard layout in the next NIB mod. It would be a plus if the "querty" layout is the default layout when you access the keyboard. |

It is Very Good. The only thing someone needs to figure out how to do, is incorporate Adobe Flash Player into the PSP System. We already have a way to view most websites, now we need the Flash Players 10 to go along with this!

@drag60nfire
it does not work with flash themes. Ardata gave a possible reason in another thread. I can´tfollow why, but I would appreciate a version working on custom themes, too. @ardata: is there hope to get it working on psp with flash theme? I can´t understand that. The HB itself works, but it can´t start the browser, though the browser itself works when starting it manually. I do myself a little php programming, hat some c++ lessons, but this is no intuitve to me. |

@poedel(You should read this,too)...(For CTF/PTF) We completely don't know what the real problem is. I think it is about psputility(sceUtility). Because Dark_AleX's VLF doesn't support CTF/PTF, too. @Juhni We can't add the all folders on MS now(Don't forget this is Sony's and Netfront(Access)'s program). But we will try to add other func about this. @Aldostools ""The new extended keyboard of FW5.00 is not working "" Yes, this is true. We didn't add it because we will add IR keyboard support/PiKey and Pikey has many bugs with new FW's keyboard.(Maybe, we can release different mods for these)... @dennis96411 This is not a bug... This is only disabled function because of some reasons... If we enable the sound, you will get more memory errors... Flash Player has some memory limitations and it doesn't use the same memory part I think.... You may solve the problem with this method: Settings> View> Conserve Memory>On @ryudo206 Yes, Netfront Browser doesn't support special characters(Vietnamese, Turkish etc...) Now we are trying to add other codepages support(Turkish). After we solve this problem, we will add Vietnamese, too... ![]() Thanks for your reports and comments... Sorry for my bad English... |

I love using my keyboard for my psp and I was disappointed and perplexed at why PiKey didn't work with this memory mod of the netfront browser at first. Keep on rocking on! (and working on!)*PS* Your advice worked. By disabling my CTF and changing the xmb back into the original Sony one, this browser worked! Last edited by akito77; 04-06-2009 at 03:22 PM.. |

I don't have problems with the .CTF themes, i have one working and the browser works, it also works when i press circle to free ram. :|
The only thing that i don't like it's that still lags a little when browsing big pages like onemanga.com and pages with lots of images. |

@ardata
I was wondering as a psp programming noob why it would make a difference by calling an ececutable from standard design by having a custom one. What is sceUtility? Is there probably some kind of data I could swap to another in my flash0 to have a try on it? Regards, Klaus |

Hello!
This idea and realization is great! Very thanks for this homebrew. But I have a request ... becouse in oryginal internet browser in psp, we don't have polish characters. This makes it very difficult to browse. If you can, very, very please, to it! All our country (Poland) will be very grateful! This charset is "iso-8859-2" or full utf-8 Polish chars: ą, ć, ł, ó, ń, ę, ś, ż, ź If you do it, it will be the best homebrew for the psp! I hope that the implementation of our request Thanks and respect! (sorry for my english) |

it won't work for me. I open it up and it says you have a psp slim. memory set to 64 mb. I press circle. it then goes to an error message that says "Error 0x80020190 creating vpl". I press circle and it closes. I have cfw 3.71m33-2 with ir shell and nite pr. I was using neither when I opened this program.
