Quote:
Clarification of the use of this application
Let's create a situation shall we?

Under NORMAL circumstances

1. I create an account for the US PlayStation Store.
2. I create an account for the EUROPE PlayStation Store.
3. I see "Patapon 2" available on the EU PlayStation Store.
4. However, I have already bought things on the US PlayStation Store.

To buy and play "Patapon 2 (EU)", I would have to do the following.

1. Connect to US PlayStation Store.
2. Deactivate system for GAME content.
3. Delete account on PSP and login with the EU account.
4. Activate system for "Patapon 2".
5. Play games.

To switch back, I would have to reverse the above process and end up limited again to my US games.

The above process would waste a LOT of time due to:
A - Requires WiFi access.
B - The length of the process.
C - Would be terribly confusing during multi-region situations.

Now, with PSN License Manager 0.17, you can remove all the hassle.
This is some little project that just makes life so much easier.

For people who buy PSN games from many regions.

This allows people who buy PSN games from many regions without being forced to activate and deactivate their PSPs again and again just to switch from one game to another.

It can do the following:
  • Backup your PSN license.
  • Restore your PSN license.
  • Delete the backup license on the memory stick.
  • Toggle USB Mass Storage.

Licenses can only be used on ONE PSP so don't think this is a piracy helper.

TESTED ON 5.00M33-6
LEDA Installed.
1.50 Kernel Not Installed - However, it shouldn't be a conflict as it runs in 5.XX kernel.

Please read readme before installing and use at your own risk.

Some more little functions may be added in the future.

PSN Manager 0.1

DL.QJ.NET

Minor update:

-0.17
--Added some information before files are written.
--Toggle USB Added to allow direct access to memory stick immediately after backup without exiting to the XMB.

PSN License Manager 0.17

Enjoy.

PSN License Remover 0.1

Basically to remove the license in the PSP completely.

Please read the readme.

This is only a small application. Place it on the front page if you want to.

PLEASE USE CAREFULLY.

If you people don't mind, could you please post any suggestions or new functions I could add and comment on it because a "thanks" surely is nice and civil but doesn't really improve the application.

Thanks!!

5.00M33-6 needed, not 1.50 kernel.

-Light_AleX

P.S. I would appreciate it if someone put this on the front page.
Thanks Karl B.!!

I've been waiting for something along these lines for a long time.

However, I would have preferred something that worked in the VSH or XMB and was easily switchable, like the Categories plug-in. (L+R+Home on Xmb)

Maybe later I'll create a plugin that will load the application upon the boot of a game or a game plugin that allows you to change during a game.

Just wait til Sony makes a security system for PSN that won't let you use it if your PSP has any form of CFW.

@andershizzle,

Sony has no way of knowing if your PSP is Custom Firmware or not as the version reports sent to them are of official versions. Of course, the only way now they would know if you had custom firmware or not is that the custom firmwares send out one of version 5.00 which evidently means you have custom firmware as you have to be on the latest official firmware to access the PlayStation Network.

@M3wThr33,

This has only been tested on GAMES from the PlayStation Network. If someone can risk testing it on VIDEO, it would be great.

For the XMB option, where would you want to load it?

Quick question, is it possible to delete a license from a PSP with this? As in from the flash? Because I CFW quite a few PSP's so I'm not sure if they get my license or not, I don't want them to, lol

@Neo-Tech,

Sorry, it doesn't delete it from flash because that could pose an extra risk to people.

However, thanks for mentioning it as it has just gone right to my "functions to add" list.

@nickxab,

Not sure why, maybe your 1.50 kernel and LEDA are conflicting.

It doesn't have an uninstaller, but anyways
you can backup the file pspbtjnf_02g.bin
(or pspbtjnf.bin in phat) before running the installer.
Flashing it again would remove leda.
Anyways leda doesn't cause any problems in
the system, it is only loaded when necessary, so no
waste of ram.

I got LEDA installed and 1.50 kernel installed now and it still works.

Set your kernel to 5.XX or place the application in PSP/GAME5XX.

I think it is your PSP. If you have an installed custom theme (flash0), uninstall that and try as this loads the resources from flash0.

-=Double Post Merge =-
Ok now it works.
But does it work with cxmb 3.3.

It should work with CXMB because PSNMGR loads the resources from flash0.

Actually, I have one more technical question.
(I can't even use this yet as a coworker is borrowing my psp)
But does activating, using the PC, actually use up an activation of the previous if you activate over another? I would think it would de-activate the previous. My memory is fuzzy last time I did it.

@nickxab,

Good to hear.

That icon looks good but it's got the official logo. I don't know if I am allowed to use it. Don't worry, maybe later, I'll ask for icons.

@M3wThr33,

If you have activated your PSP on a US region and then directly activated a EU region on top, it should theoretically use up one of your US licenses. Maybe it doesn't, but it's good to be safe, and that's what this is for.

Hi Light_Alex, thanks for this program.
One suggestion, can u maybe add the ability to save system.dreg and system.ireg from flash1. So we can just change to different region and dont have to goto Account Management to delete account to type the new one in everytime we want to change account.
