Default Netfront Internet Browser Beta 4 - HighMemoryMod By P86 - ChickHEN/PSP-3000 Support

---Netfront Internet Browser - HighMemoryMod By Team P86---

You know, Sony limits our memory in Internet Browser. So we cannot play big flash games and open big web sites.
This mod removes this limitation. And you can use all of the memory that your PSP has.
If your PSP is Fat, the HighMemMod uses all of 32 MB RAM.
If your PSP is Slim, the HighMemMod uses all of 64 MB RAM!!!

    That's very interesting, isn't it?

Now the browser loads your pages in very short seconds!
You can play your online flash games fast...

The program is beta so it may be buggy. If you see any problems, please reply this topic....

    What's New
    -Annoying prompt was removed.
-HEN support was added(Also PSP-3000 support)
-The theme was changed(EBOOT music, background etc...)
--We won't remove music etc. because they don't matter...
    -It is more stable.
    -Password Protected Version is added...

    --About 5.03 HEN support--
On ChickHEN, HighMemMod always uses the same memory on all PSPs(32 MB). Because the extra RAM parts of Slim and Brite has been locked by Sony. HighMemMod would use all memory if M33 files was added to ChickHEN...

    --About Password Protection--

Copy the ProtectedHtmlMax_Eng folder to PSP/GAME.
To use this feature, you should change your parental level to 10 or you should change it to OFF!
And you can add password to your browser for safety(XMB>Settings>Secur ity Settings)

    --About VSH Plugin--

Copy vsh folder to your flash0 and Enjoy...

    ---Thanks---
    -Dark-Alex for his ramtestsample...(Large Memory)
    -PSPSDK creators...(SDK, DEV and samples)
-JK108 and Lelouch15 for their support and test(They are my testers)
-Lelouch15 and Mazide for the new theme(EBOOT).
-Team Typhoon for the new ChickHEN...

    Good job Ardatan!

Sorry, in this release we haven't included the new eboot song. The file is 500kb, and I chose this song because the music fits the eboot logo and background ^^

Please upload this one to dl.qj.net

You should drop the folder "HtmlMax_Eng" in the GAME folder, and make sure that the kernel is placed 5.xx in the recovery menu. Then, launch the homebrew through the game menu. Good luck!

"We won't remove music etc. because they don't matter."
    • Yes they do matter or you wouldn't use them. You claimed a feature in an earlier version was that you reduced the size of the eboot. Well now 3/4 of the eboot is your music and background. You're wasting space.
    • It also annoyingly slows down the XMB.
    • Plus 99% of the people don't have the same taste in music as you. (Or in the case of the first "sound" you used, 100%)

    "Annoying prompt was removed."
Thank you. All of the prompts or just the one at boot?

What is the purpose of this program!?To give a good music for people!?To let people download a small size folder!? It is just 585 kbyte, and it is designed just to let the people take full potential of the psp!If you don't like it, Live with it!

What is the purpose of a forum with the developer? To give them feedback

If you don't like my complaints, live with them!

If the crap they consider music is not relevant to the actual program, don't use it. Now unless NetFront has a theme song....

I don't care how big it is, they are the ones who touted "reduced size" as a feature a while back, then they go and waste 3/4 of the space with crap. They could make their feature better, and the XMB work better by removing excess garbage like that.

I shouldn't have to go out of my way to find an eboot editor just cause some developer's taste in noise is so horrible.

*cries river over 512 kb*... Seriously? Ugh.

Let's stop complaining about the music, and be happy this program is out!

I'm running this on an old PHAT model. I love it! Browsing is completely optimized.

Next version I would love to see support through Internet Radio Player (right now, just freezes the XMB)

You say to copy the htmlviewer_plugin. prx to flash0, but there is already a prx by this name residing in flash0

1)Am I suppose to copy over the original prx?

2)Can u explain to me why is that file already residing in flash0?

3)If I no longer use the Netfront browser, am I suppose to replace your prx with the original one again?

    thank you

Yes you are supposed to overwrite the original one in flash0, but before doing anything be sure to backup htmlviewer.prx(original) then applying the other version. I tried this, but ended up screwing the internet(it just freezes when you click on), but that was in beta 3, maybe in this beta it is better and more stable!

Nevertheless, the program is designed by its developer. The developer has the power to do whatever he wants either you like it or not. Some people agree on what he is doing and some might disagree. You have no right to nag on them and criticize on what decision they take after they see *all of the point of views*.

Yeah we all know it takes forever to go to the download section and use the search function. Just because someone chooses music you don't like doesn't mean you go about bashing them for their taste in music. He doesn't have to remove it if he doesn't want to just to meet your needs in prettying up your XMB. You don't move any mountains with anybody. Cry more all over your keyboard you lazy ungrateful pri**.

    Thanks for the update ardatan

Ardatan, I don't know if this is a bug, but when you have enable internet password control, netfront doesn't prompt you to place the password before using the internet. So it is useless in netfront, can you fix it?

    @ ardatan

Any chance in the coming version that full 64MB of RAM will be enabled for us PSP3000 users?

Thanks, and keep up the good work

    • It also annoyingly slows down the XMB.
    • Plus 99% of the people don't have the same taste in music as you. (Or in the case of the first "sound" you used, 100%)
    LOL
If you don't like the music or the background of the EBOOT then use the PBP Unpacker to delete them.

    Oh i have a question.
How i can run this app when i click only in the internet browser icon but only in this.
I have try it with the XMBEL v1.2 but nothing. :Argh:
