I'm posting this question here because I was curious on the small technical differences.
I was pretty sure the PSP Internet Radio Player was just a shortcut on the XMB to a URL, as well as locking down many of the features of the regular browser for whatever reason (memory, prevention, etc).
However, I have also noticed that if you point the PSP browser directly to the radio player site (eg. Shoutcast Player Page), the page will load as it does in FireFox, minus the genre labels. It still requests to start the plugin, however.
I apologize as I am a bit new in the PSP scene, so I don't know how to decrypt the PRX to check it out myself.
My question is, does the PSP Internet Radio Player boot a unique PRX that simply links back to the browser, or is it something as simple as changing the browser identifier?
P.S. I flashed Netfront's browser onto my PSP, and when I launch the "About PSP Radio" or any stations, the unit freezes. This says to me there is something special about the way the IRP loads.
