I would also speed up luigi/mario's animation too Dan
Compare your game to any other 2d mario game and you will see what I mean ![]() Keep up the good work

Thanks zack, i'll speed it up a tad. Reminds that i need to add the running stuff, also i'm working on the block animations atm. Getting the extra core stuff at it's best.

I just dropped down to encourage you.The work done is already impressive.I've tried it out recently, animation is sweet, no lag, no crashes...
Set a good gameplay, tons of levels, and you'll definitely turn this into addictive. Keep up.

A new video?
It's that time again ![]() PSPMario - Update 2 Anyway changelog: -Altered animation speed & height -Added idle state to goombas, so they don't disappear straight away, (video shows what i mean) -Added they first collision checks with enemies & mario, only the top of the goomba is checked so far (the sides & the mario death stuff is in the works) -Starting the brick blocks destroyable animation, currently it only renders at the position of the destoryed block but the rest is easy Working On: -Death animation stuff -enemies collision -? block animation -& adding music, in form of .wav & .mp3 files. |

the jump height looks better now and the animations are good, the reason the blocks are now too high to jump on is because if you look at mario games they would be 1 lower if you get what i mean so that the character can jump on them but your animation doesnt show that although im sure it works.
also are those bricks that float the same as the ones you walk on? bcause from a coding point of view that would work fine but i have an image of a horrible glitch where mario somehow falss through one of them and you would be able to destroy the floor XD.

Well i have the floating magical bricks falling now
. So thats means that the block brick stuff is done for now.Also added a few sounds like the jumping sound, death sound
