Default [Release] HardHat's Battle Arena version 0.61

well, I found it strange to play the whole game without talking to anyone, so I've added trainers to each training station and got Daniel Chan to write up some dialog for them to guide you through the training to the final battle.

    Version 0.61:
    - added trainers who guide you through the whole Mage Master experience.
    - fixed underpowered spells from increasing your opponent's health. It now says
    attack was ineffective.
    - moved game save to START so that those O saving loops go away
    - use O to exit from battle preparation screens.
    - all new mage upgrades now happen at green or white training centres
    - rearranged the order of the training centres to have a more natural flow around the road, and switched the game save format. The order is now: white, yellow, red, blue, black (tournament) and green. Please consider restarting your game, I load, but don't gurantee the integrety of your old games.

I think so, but I only tested it lightly. Try it and report back to me, if you don't mind. Just make a back up of your game, so that you can go back to it if it all goes wrong. There are 5 slots, so you could probably just avoid overwriting your old game. The only incompatible change is the order of the training centres.

If it causes you big problems I expect I'll fix it up to make you happy.

Thanks. I hope you've enjoyed the progress that the game has made since that 0.50 release. I still have a few things I'm waiting for to make the game how I wanted it for the compo. Those nasty exams and so on stole time away from my team, so things weren't all done on time.

Yeah your doing some good progress, tbh a few of the contest entries are.

I'm unsure who to vote for for once, usually there's a clear winner. When is time up to vote?

Oh? What else do you have planned for it?

Compo is over. My project placed 5th, against some heavy competition.

I've been collecting the voice work for all of the dialog.

Right now the final battle is on the island, and I'm hoping that there is one more battle in the throne room with brother versus brother. There are two additional cut scenes if I get that far.

And of course item usage still needs to be completed.

Finally I would enjoy adding some Achievements for you to do.

I guess that shows how much i looked at when the comp was over.

5th is pretty good with all the amazing entries this year. :)

Oh more cutscenes is cool and Achievements sound like it will be fun.
