ndPython for PSPE/PSP is ready. I could release it, but before I need
some tests. In Italy, we've done several tests and the speed appears better than Carlos's StackLess Python in many cases. Furthermore, the interpreter is professional, reliable, bug-free and it uses all technology provided by Nanodesktop SDK (next 0.4 version). In other cases, the results are contradditory. So.. I need someone that can do other tests on the Python compiler/executor. Can anybody of you help me ? If your answer is yes, I'll provide the link for the guide and the beta version of the software. Thanks in advance. |

You can use ndPython under PSPE or under PSPE emulator. http://visilab.unime.it/~filippo/Nan...anodesktop.htm For the Nanodesktop user guide 0.4, see in the package that I've downloaded into Rapidshare. |

The emulator isn't very good, but I don't think you could emulate anything on the PSP in python at a million instructions per second. The overhead of a high-level language is too high. Still, it's amazing that I can take such a large project and run it on the PSP with little modification. Great work. The API on the other hand, isn't very clean in my opinion. I know it has just been mirrored over from the C API, but I'm used to easy, object-oriented interfaces in Python. I couldn't even get the windowing system to work, and gave up and used base screen drawing. |
