Default [RELEASE] PSN License Manager 0.22

    Hey there,

Minor, minor things not worth mentioning.

    Capabilities
    Backup your PSN license.
    Restore your PSN license.
Delete the backup license on the memory stick.
    Toggle USB Mass Storage.
    Up to 30 PSP support.

Licenses can only be used on ONE PSP so don't think this is a piracy helper.

    TESTED ON 5.00M33-6
    LEDA Installed.
For PSP-100X and 200X, 1.50 kernel installation is fine too.

Custom flashed themes may interfere with this program as it loads resources from flash. Please use CTF themes or uninstall your Flashed themes.

Please read readme before installing and use at your own risk.
Information of each function is not in the main program anymore so you MUST read the readme before using the program.

Light_Alex, I have a query about how this works. I have my UK licence active but I have some PSone titles which I bought from the US Store which still work while the UK licence is active. Full PSP games I have bought from the UK store do not work when the US licence is active but PSOne titles from the UK still work on the US license. This suggests that the licence for PSOne titles in all regions does not apply but others have tried the same and the games dont work. Is it possible your tool is impacting how this works?

BTW, fantastic tool and thanks for the hard work.

    Oh, sorry, I didn't realise.

Oh well, they're almost the same anyway. Like I said, it's not worth mentioning or even changing the PBP info.

I would add to this that everytime I switch out licences and try and run a PSone title it crashes my PSP and switches off.

Light_Alex can you shed any light?

I cannot remember exactly what PSOne titles check. Sorry.

What do you mean by "switching out licenses and launch PSOne game" ?

Do you mean swapping the licenses and restoring the correct one?

I'll take a stab in the dark here.

    - If the license isn't the one that is for the game, it will not work.
    - If the PSOne title is a demo or is free (E.g. Wipeout) it will work even without a license.
    - If it just crashes and turns off the PSP, it is a different problem. Licensing errors would result in a Sony error screen (800XXXXX - The game could not be started.)

I hope I have got something correct there. :O

Sorry I should have been clearer. If I explain what I have it might help. I have a number of PSP titles that I have bought from the UK PSN and 1 PSone title. I have also purchased 3 PSOne titles from the US Store. All are full titles not demos.

Obviously the UK and US titles need different activations or so I thought. I leave my activation to UK as most of my titles are UK. This is how I discovered that that the US PSone titles work with the UK activation.

If I change my activation to US using your tool, I do get the 800XXXX error on my UK PSP titles. However if I try and play any Psone title for the first time after changing the license using your tool, the PSP hangs and switches off but only the first time you try and run one, after that the PSone titles work fine from either the US or UK store, under either activation, which apparently other people have confirmed should not happen.

It is almost as if something happens to override the activation when it crashes. It doesn't do this if you change the activation the official way.

Thanks for the bug report. ;)
Thank you very much Graz68 for describing the situation in detail again.

I will try to fix that in later versions.

    Thank you very much.

Ah, you misunderstand, it certainly isn't a bug, if anything this is a great feature and if you can continue to keep it working that way then great. I was just curious as to why it could be happening. It just makes the tool even better.

    Hi

I just upgraded to 5.50GEN and License Manager stopped working and now I just get a black screen.

No plugins, using a PSP phat.
    Is it a compatibility issue?

PS: I haven't seen you on our IRC channel anymore, only seen Arnold
