Default [Release] DimTheLights v.55

DimTheLights v.55
For those of those new to this. This pluign is an attempt to remove ur psp as a light source.
1. Use it more likely in school without getting caught.
2. Use it in church if your religious enough and have disrespect.
3. Use it in bed b4 bed so u don't blind yourself to sleep.
NEW
4. New Hotkey so u can use it as iR Remote in iRShell without screen. Also use it as a Mouse with no screen in PSPVNC and PSPDISP or just shut off the screen

5. Hey, it can even save battery!.... ha

The new DimTheLights plugin updated to v.5 offers a new screen feature.

This plugin:
Sets PSP Volume to 0 on startup.
Turns off LEDs
Stops UMD Drive on startup
Dims the backlight as far as it will go. [Phat and Slim differentiate]
When coming back from standby, the LEDs will remain off.

If you would like to play a game. You may hold L Trigger on startup of psp and it will not disable umd, but you can re-enable it with the hotkey. Just an added feature

Hot key Left Trigger and Note will enable the leds and put the brightness to normal visa versa.
Hot key Left Trigger and Volume Down will disable the UMD drive while in any mode (XMB, Game, Pops)
Hot key Left Trigger and Volume Up will re-enable the UMD driver, allowing the use of your UMD games/videos.

NEW**
Hot key L+R+O Will shut the screen off and will not come back on until hotkey is pressed allowing u to use as mouse and remote as mentioned.

If launched game from UMD; Plugin will not disable the umd drive thus not crashing.

[]New in v.4[]
The UMD features now work perfectly.
All game glitches (random button pressing) has been worked out.
No more UMD load crashes.

[]New in v.5[]
Screen Feature

[]New in v.55[]
**Screen Feature Fixed**

[Added Note]
If someone can help me figure out button patching/disabling id appreciate it.

I like this. Thanks for making this!
A question I might not be able to answer myself yet, (due to firmware jacking up) will it run on 3.71 m33-4? Or have you only tested it in the latest firmware?

I've never found a reason not to trust m33.. but it's your call.

I did try it on 3.71 m33-4 and it kept the psp from booting into anything but the recovery (semi brick). So I just decided to go ahead and update my firmware to 5.00 m33-6. Works more than just fine! I definatly love it.
I'm thinking that this, combo'ed with hold+, is what i've been needing for my psp.

But, I'd put something up saying what has been tested and confirmed. Or say that it's "only supported on 5.00 m33-6 and up (only ones tested)"... something along those lines

oh no problem dude.

Oh and one thing I forgot to metion.. the L+R+O combo should turn the screen off, and keep it off until that combo is pressed again, right? well it doesnt turn it back on, the only way to is to hit the screen button again.. so i just use the reg combo of like L+vol down.

and a quick suggestion, it'd be cool if you could later add support to adjust the brightness, by like the number value by one. so it'd be possible to turn the light on, but as low as possible.

Hey Jake. Glad to see your project made it to the front page. Easy huh. =]

Well, I'm currently working on getting PA back online. No one knows what happened to it so I'll probably run my own hosting. About time huh.

this is a great plugin.
but
there are people who use alternate vshmenu 6.1(Plugin) and use the 3.71 fatmsmod because the similar option on the recovery menu gets disabled if vshmenu 6.1 is enabled
so
the xmb wouldn't load if fatmsmod is installed with dimthelights enabled.
I found out by using pandora several times to track down the bug.

but its ok i just decided to leave alternate vshmenu behind so now i can use the ms speed hack in recovery without any problem and dimthelight aswell.

one question: you said the light dimmed on phat and slim is different, but i noticed the light is actually turned off on phats but dimmed on slims.
is that the difference? cuz i cant see anything on my phatty.
