Introduction
PSP CheatUp is an application designed to simplify the task of updating the cheat codes through the use of the PSP's Wifi and a wireless internet connection. Currently the application can automatically detect and install cheats for CheatMaster Fusion, coderPR, CWCheat and NitePR. The cheat files are hosted by GBAtemp.

Feature Summary
The following features are available in PSP CheatUp:

Download and install cheat updates for numerous PSP cheat engines.
Update application from PSP.
Display the Changelog and Gamelist of the last download cheat update.
Display the last update date and time of the cheat database.

0.33 (Monday, 30 November, 2009)
- Fixed: Download bug with the new GBAtemp server.
- Other: New ICON0 by Tooni.exe.

0.32 (Wednesday, 11 November, 2009)
- Fixed: POPs database is no longer replaced with an empty file.

0.31 (Wednesday, 4 November, 2009)
- Fixed: Application update bug introduced in version 0.30.
- Fixed: Various other bugs.

0.30 (Monday, 2 November, 2009)
- Added: Added support for CWCheat POPs DB (for possible future usage).
- Added: CMF file extraction can be overridden by holding R trigger when before installing cheats.
- Fixed: USB disconnection related problems should be fixed.
- Fixed: Cheats won't be removed unless they exist in the downloaded cheat DB.
- Fixed: Increased the size of message buffers properly this time.
- Other: PSP CheatUp now reboots itself instead of exiting to the XMB when updated.
- Other: Cheat/aplication update and cheat installation can now be cancelled (must hold down CIRCLE to cancel).

0.26 (Friday, 2 October, 2009)
- Added: Support for starPR and HackME.
- Added: Detection of bluePR.
- Fixed: Download errors which happened after a failed download attempt.
- Fixed: Bug which caused no item to be selected in install menu if no cheat engine is active.
- Other: Increased message buffer sizes to 16KB so I can show you longer update messages and notices.

0.25 (Thursday, 1 October, 2009)
- Added: Support for DarkCheat, DayPR, FreeCheat and IcyPR.
- Fixed: The CWCheat POPs database is no longer erased as there is currently no POPs database included in the download.
- Fixed: Improved the error handling of the Wifi download code.
- Other: Removed random background colours so the lateral menu colour matches background colour.

0.20 (Tesday, 29 September, 2009)
- Added: Application can now be updated from the PSP (Other > Check for Update).
- Fixed: Crash when showing Gamelist or Changelog if cheat archive has not been downloaded.
- Fixed: Cheats were installed even if user says no.
- Other: Checks for downloaded cheats before allowing the user to install them.
- Other: User is now presented with an overwrite message before allowing them to install cheats.
- Other: If the cheat database is the same as the one on the server the user will no longer be prompted to update.

0.10 (Monday, 28 September, 2009)
- Other: Initial Release.

Can you change sources, so you can download cheats from other sites, or, is GBATemp just that good?

Unfortunately it is not possible to change where the cheats are downloaded from, however the cheats on GBAtemp are maintained by me and are usually updated 1 time per week. There are currently 250 games and 4012 cheats in the database and although it is smaller than the official CWCheat database their are less non-working codes as well as more newer games in the GBAtemp database.

But there is one little bug: If you try to access "changelog" and "gamelist" without "Download Cheats", the PSP will crash.

I cannot access, the follow message appears:

same here, also CheatUp doesnt seem to like 5.50 GEN-B2 if i select any option it will freeze and then turn off my psp.

Sorry guys for any of the bugs in the first release I just updated PSP CheatUp to 0.20 which should fix some of the problems and the application can now be updated through the PSP's Wifi as well it takes a little longer to check for an update however it now also checks if the cheat database actually needs updating so the user doesn't accidentally download the DB when they already have the latest version.

Also if any of you have any cheats which aren't in the database already please submit them at GBAtemp PSP Cheats Forum. My aim is to achieve the biggest possible PSP cheat database which is well formatted and as close to error-free as possible. I also intend to update the database roughly once every week (on a Sunday).

Great app. Was just wondering, does this mean that you should completely get rid of the other one since it may interfere( deleting all the folders, prx)?

You just have to replace the old EBOOT.PBP with the new EBOOT.PBP in the 0.20 archive and any of the changed PRX's will be automatically recreated when you load the program.

I use the app Freecheat instead cwcheat, but both uses the same database. I would like to request an add to install database for cwcheat (cheat.db) in Freecheat, that must be locate in "ms0://FreeCheat/CODE/cheat.db".

Converting codes from NitePR to CWCheat is rather easy but many code types can't be converted from CWCheat to NitePR due to lack of support. Also converting most code types is rather easy.

These are the changes for the next version so far but I need some more suggestions, bug reports and I also need someone who can't load the program to tell me what plugins they have active, PSP firmware version, PSP model and any other relevant information.

I suggest you to add scroll fast to the list of games (or add page system, pressing left or right to up or down the list, for example). You know, the list are to extensive, and will become more and more...

Me too but many users use the nitePR too.

You can already do that on the computer by going to "X:\PSP\GAME\PSP CheatUp" and opening the "cheats.zip" file. There is a file called "GameList.txt" in the archive.

I'm using a PSP 100o orignal, first day release, lauch date was the best and I have CFW 5.50 GEN-B(FULL) and the latest cheatsup software, every time i go to run it, it goes black and then after about 5 imnutes it will shut off, what gives, willing to work to help test bugs rain, tho I"m not a homebrew genius

I'm using a PSP-1000 with CFW 5.50 GEN B (Full) and "CheatUp v0.26" is working fine for me! Try that version if you're not already.

This is one of my favorite applications this year, it is so easy to use, works fast, looks nice, and does the job perfectly. I can't wait to see the next version. It even supports a bunch of cheat devices I haven't even heard of. That gamelist feature is great too. I really can't say enough good things about this application!
