    Smile [release] eboot 2 iso 1.0 (pc)

    When i last tried to use PBP2ISO, it wouldn't work because i'm working on Windows Vista.
    I tried lots of stuff, but i just couldn't do it.......

    ...... That's why i hereby release my new app (for the pc. Not for the psp): EBOOT2ISO 1.0!

    It lets you select your EBOOT.PBP file and lets you type your destination directory.
    When you have done that, just press [Convert!] and the software will make a PSP ISO directory structure with your EBOOT.PBP's files in the directory you specify.
    (The directory you specify MUST EXIST before the application allows you to continue!)

    When you're done with this app, just use the PSP_GAME directory createn in your directory to make yourself your PSP ISO file. (By using UMDGen, i tested it using v4.0 build 61205.01).

    ************************* ************************* **********************
    Stuff that needs some fixing:
    - Currently the application puts your DATA.PSAR in <yourdirectory>/PSP_GAME/SYSDIR/DATA.BIN . This might need some fixing for psx eboots.

    As usual, the application can be get on my homebrew page on the site.

    Greetings,

    SuperFury

    You can download it using the link on this page

    it should now be at the bottom of the page.

    It doesn't work currently with PSX EBOOTS if that's what you mean, cuz i haven't quite found out yet how to make the DATA.PSP + DATA.PSAR -> iso structure yet.
    I tried some things like putting the data.psar in /PSP_GAME/SYSDIR/DATA.BIN (that's what it's currently), but when i boot up the psx eboot's ISO version, it just gives me the 80020148 error message (XMB).

    I've said it some times before and i'll say it again:
    Don't use that link! (see previous post)
    The XX identifier may change when other files are uploaded (it could be the same, go up 1 or go down 1).
    So use the normal link:
    superfury.net63.net/myhomebrew.php
    And jump to the download from there!

    OK so explain some stuff to me:
    First, how does a UMD ISO look at an atomic level? that is, whats the basic folder layout?
    Second, does this work for Eboots for homebrews? that is, for games that depend on certain things?
    What i have:
    Slim (Vader with black buttons) running 5.00m33-6.
    2in1 pandora battery (amazingly, its 1600mah)
    hardmodded JigKick (a 1200mah)

    I'm guessing some people would use it so they don't have a cluttered game folder, and can put all of their games that aren't homebrew in the ISO folder. But looking at the description of this it only work for homebrew atm so I don't actually see the point :).

    BTW, it should work for normal PSN store EBOOTS too if they have the same header structure (first 40 bytes) as a normal Homebrew EBOOT (without data.psar, currently unknown if this works).

    Anyone knows what happens to the data.psar when converted to a psp iso directory format?

    (it's the only info i'm missing to make, like psx eboots and updaters work,
    (My guesses:
    1) It is given some (other) specific filename in the PSP_GAME/SYSDIR folder (boot.bin?)
    2) Added to the end of the BOOT.BIN and/or EBOOT.BIN
    )
    )
    Anyone can confirm this?

    For some reason I keep getting an error- I/O Error 998.
    What does this mean? I am using Windows XP, I have also
    tried Vista and I would get the same error.

    I/O Error 998:
    // IO Error 998L
    // ERROR_NOACCESS
    // MessageText:
    // Invalid access to memory location
    Source: Delphi Errors

    So it's a memory error, had something like those during development before....
    I'll look at it this weekend. (Starting @ 09-10-2009)

    BTW i tried it on Hitman reborn psn demo, but it gave the error too. HB works fine though.

    Just took a look @ the demo again (hexeditor): data.psar is past the end of the file! ???
