Goear PSP is a homebrew created to search and download songs to the memory stick from the music site goear.com (also called the youtube of mp3's).

It's in English, Spanish and a third language fully customizable (in the webpage you can see the template in "idiomas").
The homebrew comes with a third language, that is an example. Also in the link above can be downloaded the template to create other languages.
If you don't want a third language just delete it from the GoearPSP folder (the language file is language.lng).

This new version has a critical update because goear change a little bit the system.

Controls:

Triangle: Change Language
Circle: Enter the text for a new search
Square: Fast download*
Cross: Download* and select the filename
L1: Prev. Result page
R1: Next Result page
Select: Help

*The music is downloaded in ms0:/MUSIC/

you need to have a MUSIC folder for you app to download

Yeah, the MUSIC folder is required and if doesn't exist the homebrew don't create it (my mistake).
For other versions maybe

Works good, it needs a button to cancel the download (it starts downloading and you can't make it stop D: ), a download list would be good too and th ability to keep browsing while downloading would be good.

Brilliant - but....

This is a brilliant homebrew right up there with PSP Tube. Couple of little comments, it would be nice if it could stream the songs (like the website) rather than having to download them. And there is no indication when there is more than one page of results. Thank you Clizana.

I wish he will add that too but for that he will need to learn how the P2P protocol of limewire works and for that you need to know Java because the limewire source code is in java. It shouldn't be to hard to learn it but it may take you a while to make it work in lua.

After using it for a while a few minor comments. Would be nice if the text entered is retained when you do another search. The text colour for the selected file, in the results list, is not very easy to read. As some one said, a cancel option would be nice.

That pretty much along with let us set it so that we can choose the bitrate variable we want.

Was working for a bit. I ran it a few times before and it worked fine, until one day I tried using it at my school and I get an error after submitting a search word. Now even after disabling gamecategories (rather taking it out of a CAT_ folder and placing it at the root of game), restarting the program, restarting the psp, deleting and re-downloading, and creating a new network profile thing, I still get an error. I'm on a PSP Phat running 5.50 Gen D-2.

Here's the error message:

Error: script.lua:764: bad argument #1 to 'find' (string expected, got nil)

Press START to restart.

I don't see anyone else having this issue apparently, or at least reporting it, so if it's just me, maybe there's something up with my psp that I don't know about.
