[RELEASE] JoySens 1.5

JoySens got a new update after over a year and shortly after the source getting released to public.


Version 1.5 brings the following new features:
- code cleanup
- added possibility to choose only from a selected list of remapmodes (ie only switch between your favorite modes) per game/vsh
- fixed that adjust=0 will turn off the analog
- added LITE version, that does not support config file saving, no ingame info output as well as no ingame config settings with buttons
- added “threshold” config parameter, to adjust button remapping from analog
- added “thresholdupbtn” and “thresholddownbtn” config parameters, to set buttons for setting the threshold ingame
- added “idlestop” and “idleback” config parameters, to set when the analog movement stops the idle timer or returns back from idle (brightness dimming/display off feature of PSP firmware).
- optimized config file reading a bit
- updated FAQ


JoySens 1.5 was tested on 5.50GEN-D2.

Thanks Raphael this plugin is awesome
But it seems that some times my analog goes crazy and acts like a non fixable analog and it requires that I replace the analog ( already replaced twice ) but problem goes away then goes back, even with joy sens.Please check this thread as you're the analog master :) Need Serious analog help before I go crazy - PSP Hacks - Forums
and is the full 1.5 version buggy ? I have a bug , each time I press note+circle to save settings , either in xmb or game , the psp crashes but the settings are saved though

EDIT : Another issue , after I save settings in XMB , the categories of game categories read no games inside and I have to reboot my PSP. and in case of categories in ISO folder , it says no games.in case of categories in psp/game folder , it reads corrupted data inside
Shall I use the lite version instead ?

Unfortunately I guess your problem is something that even joysens can't fix completely. From the sound of it, either the contacts/cables to your analog is defect or it is a problem of your faceplate screws. I'm not the expert for hardware issues though, but if I were you I'd try fixing the faceplate screw in the battery container and if all else fails, try to get a new PSP.

Regarding the other problems, I'll check those out. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for taking a look at my problem
I forgot to say that I tried to replace the faceplate but that didn't work either
I guess i'll see if it's finally fixed with this one , and if it's not , I'll not even bother anymore trying to fix it , but selling it as spare parts and getting a new one would be better

But i have a question.
Is it possible to add the function that when we press in the photo or in the internet to disable the plugin or at least to dissable the analog if it is enabled in the xmb ?
Cause i want to browse my xmb with the analog but in the photo if you want to zoom the icon you must use the analog.
I hope that you will understand what i mean.

Yes, I understand you and I already thought about a solution to this myself. However, I have yet to find a way to make the plugin detect when you enter the photoviewer or the browser, so it can automatically switch the analog remap mode.
As a work-around solution I added the remapmode list feature in 1.5, so you can easily switch back to no remapping in the photoviewer or browser with only one button combination instead of having to press X-times to go through all possible remap modes. By default, JoySens is set to only allow remap modes 0 (no remap) and 2 (remap analog to D-Pad) in VSH, so a single press of NOTE+START (or whatever you set the remap button to) will already disable the analog remapping.

I also plan on adding a hotkey feature for the remapping in the next version, so you can enable the selected remap mode with a button combination only (i.e. LTRIGGER + Analog gets remapped to D-Pad), though that will not directly help for the VSH behaviour.

Maybe I'll find a good way to detect the photoviewer and browser reliably for the next version.

It has the ability to recenter your analog axis or anything that might affect its behavior.
