Ah missed this one... Nice work :)
Thanks for the feedback guys :)
Anyway GlennNZ, what's the Iphone like to write for (compared with the PSP)?
I ask because everyone agrees the Iphone version of your game is better
... maybe you just put more into it because you can make some money through their app store.
The only thing that limited me, is when I looked into it, I heard you need an Apple computer to run it's development environment.
Is this the case? Any way round that?
How do Iphone programmers feel about this? Surely they aren't ALL die-hard Apple fans.
EDIT.. Hey Justin, I'm just around the corner in Ipswich! :)
Everything else though is better on the touch. The touch screen is great for Tactical Support (which we hope to expand upon in the future), and the screen is a lot crisper (well, much better than my old PSP-1000). The number of pixels is also larger so you get more screen real estate. I think the newer Touches are also a little more grunty.
It's much easier to develop for the Apple devices because we can use the IDE, debugger, simulator etc whereas with PSP we basically have to use simpler editors although PSP link is a fantastic tool.
The real difference is the fact that the PSP build is basically relying on an OpenGL wrapper called PSPGL, so it will never be as efficient as it could be, and we have reduced OpenGL functionality i.e. there are no point sprites or multitexturing using PSPGL.
Yes, you have to have an apple machine to develop for iPhone. I'm no hardcore mac fanboy, but I do quite like developing using xcode (which is its IDE)

3. it'll be 5 years in june, that's nearly 1/4 of my life on this planet that i've visited these forums, what a ride it has been
Meh, I placed it it alone in GAME5XX while GC is turned off. Nothing changed.
GlennNZ, or like a combo to display the status bar. The health bar for the base is crucial while I don't care about the others actually. You would just know how much missiles they can withstand. :P
are you going to add a online leader board for time it takes to complete a mission (26 sec for 1st mission ) or the average accuracy that some one has?

I think someone has done mission one in 25 seconds. Yes, Justin is going to add some leader board features in later on, including best time stats.Originally Posted by cmbeke
There is also the DragonFire SDK which is for Windows, I got my closed beta e-mail the day my 5850 arrived so I've not tested yet... damn you Crysis!
Anyway, just about to download this for my iPhone, the first game to go on here, been meaning to do it but I've become an epic procrastinator lately...
