Magic Memory Stick Creator for Mac BETA released

I finally finished the app! (yay) Anybody want to try out the BETA? Leave your feedback below in the comments.

[DOWNLOAD] The page has a lot of ads. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on the image that says "Download with FileFactory Basic"

How to use it
1. Plug in your PSP and enable USB connection.

2. You need to select what disk your PSP is. Open the application called "Disk Utility" which is located in Applications >> Utilities >> Disk Utility. Locate your PSP's disk, right-click it and select Information. Now look at the Disk Identifier. It should be disk# where # is a number 1 through 10. (If you see disk1s1 or similar, look at the disk1 part. Ignore the s1 part.) Now select this in the Magic Memory Stick application.

3. Choose which button you want the DC8 menu to be launched with. You can choose the L and R triggers or have it be launched automatically by selecting "NOTHING".

4. (Option isn't available in the BETA version) Choose whether you want the GEN-D2 installer to be in your Games folder.

5. Before clicking "Make the Magic Memory Stick" button, you need to click on the "Click Me First!" button. This will unmount the PSP so the application can inject the IPL.

6. Click the button "Create the Magic Memory Stick" to create it!

Sweet! I'm sitting in class right now and in the process of downloading it; I'll let everyone know how it works.

P.s. I understand everything fine, but i feel step 2 is a little convoluted. I understand what you mean, but I know some mac users who don't even know what Disc Utility is, but odds are they wouldn't be in need of doing this.

Great app!! It works like a charm; very nicely written sir. It wasn't working to begin with but then I realized what I was doing wrong; I was using it on a spare ms and reformatted it to start with a clean slate, but I was formatting it in Disk Utility rather than the PSP lol.

A couple questions: What is the purpose for unmounting the drive if it just has to mount it again to choose the root of the drive? Also, If you have to choose the drive root after you click the Create MMS button, what is the purpose of the PSP disk dropdown list?

I know it's not really important, but can you make an app preview icon?

Would anybody find a tutorial video helpful as well? (Like veritas-truth said some people don't know what Disk Utility is and maybe it would help.)

Quick update. The video is almost here. Just tweaking it. I may remake it because I'm not talking in it and I do a lot better when I'm talking. lol

I need feedback on this: Do you guys think that it would be better if the GUI for the app be like Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker? I think it would be a lot more n00b friendly but I need to ask RainMotorsports before I can. Please let me know!
