I'm leaving the psp scene because I've lost what I needed to do it: My PSP.
My precious clear slim was lost while I was on spring break, and now 2 months later I have given up. Sadly, i have placed it under the "Lost forever" category.
Sorry if it seems lacklustre, but I wont be doing development on Ebootr anymore. unfortunately the development source was on my psp. If anyone wishes to take up the project please message me. If anyone uses IRC they can find me on EsperNet as indrora. I'll explain what the code does (it should be mostly self-explanatory)
Too bad. :/ Well can't you buy a cheap one from Amazon.com and continue working? Or you don't want to experience the hassle again...
If I were to lose my usb stick with all of my projects' source codes, then I'll be even more encouraged to continue, to re-start everything from scratch, to improve my coding skills.
So don't give up that easily, you can still find hackable PSPs on the net or some stores.
Btw what's Ebootr again?:p
I may see if I can find someone with a hackable PSP I can buy for cheap, but I may move into serious console stuff. I have a PS2 now you see.
Ebootr was my PBP editor/unpacker/verifier/coffee maker written in C#. I had it mostly release quality and even some of the french PSP sites had picked it up and started playing with it, and it had gotten favorable reviews on DCEmu because it used about a tenth of the memory of PBP Unpacker.
Note the "Virtual Memory" is what you want to deal with. that was on a 2.4GiB file (Wipeout)
Oh yeah now I remember, I even threw out PBP Unpacker for this, too bad you lost your PSP. You should really do everything you can to continue this, it really helped me out back in the days.
I'd consider it if I could get a *lot* of feedback :)
Also, if you're wondering what I've been working on /recently/... I think you'll all recognize this:
Its horribly buggy and evil, but it works :)
Damn. Sad to hear :(
Hopefully you are able to get another PSP. Ebootr was a great program, and the PSP scene has already lost too many devs.
Thanks for the work you done. Hopefully this this not the end of the road for you :)
Would y'all like to see an update of Ebootr? If so, what features would y'all like the most?
I've gotten ahold of a backup of the source I had (which I think fixed some minor bugs but I'm not sure)
I had started on localization support
Hells yeah! :)

But if course, an update to the PC version would be great too :D
If someone is willing to port the .NET stack onto the PSP, I think I'd be simple enough to write something that messes with the end-goal.
The problem is I've become wrapped up in all sorts of random things regarding graduation (Oh the throws of being in highschool)
If anyone wants to take up the C# app they can. They just need a copy of Visual Studio 2008 with the C#/.NET development stuff installed (In fact, I'm pretty sure you could get this working under SharpDevelop if you really tried)
