Nice to hear someone is willing to try improve this. I will probably test it with Phoenix Wrigth when it's developed a little bit more. I also noticed that CoD3r-D's team is doing something with dsonpsp in Google Code. However, their team seems pretty new because not much previous contributions in Google Code. Do you have any previous experience working with emulators or dynarec?

Add credits for original author if you mind. CoD3r-D was banned for faking up releases. I hope this is not a similar kind.

you can download it and check, if you already did download it, use the L and R triggers to switch tabs, in which one of them i have credits, and have yoshihiro listed first, and the other is the settings

I have credits for him in the actual code, i tried to add them on my post, but since you made the hyperlink, and since i dont have 10 posts, i couldnt change it.

"Original port by YoshiHiro based on DeSmUmE core 9"

but that is what i have on the emulator's credits menu

Ok, I tested it regardless what I said before. Well, it was pretty much what I expected it to be at this point. For some reason you did take the sound completely off, though. I didn't notice the cursor, but this is most likely because it was implemented in beta 7 (the source of 7 was never released?). The samples were nice.

Yes, I did notice what CoD3r-D did with his Alpha 1.0 in here. However, after that they have been doing something in Google Code. I just don't know what because the uploads are not commented at all. I didn't even try compiling the release from seven days ago because it seemed to demand Cygwin environment. This time the team has also credited the previous creators. So, hopely CoD3r-D has learned to credit the ones who did the base.

    note: unofficial ~ unnoficial

yes, i was continuing off of the 0.6 release, i tried to get ahold of yoshihiro so i could get the 0.7 off of him, but he never did reply, so yes, that is why there is no cursor, i will implement one in my next release, and yes i removed the audio code for now, considering about the best performance on a commercial game is 10-15 fps without sound, it will just completely kill any sign of speed, and sounds absolutely horrible, i will re-implement it sometime after i get dynarec working, so it may be slightly standable, plus i will move it over to the native libs, instead of using the SDL_mixer port

Nice that someone keeps going with this project ! And I'm not shocked by Yoshihiro's attitude, he's one of the most selfish and immature devs ever ! (even if that emulator is very nice ;) )

So you should make the project open source ;)

    Cheers,

    Lightbulb A Little Idea

first of all, its great someone is continuing yoshihiro's work on the DS emulation.

now here is a LITTLE IDEA

why not make the screen something like this

i think that way, the emulator can be more eficient, we could be able to see basically the two screens at the same time, and we could change them easely with the ''Note'' button, and see the basic information.

I have a very good suggestion!!! I don't know if it will work, but here's my idea.

Add wi-fi support. This can make this homebrew VERY useful for people who have a DS, and a poke'mon game, but have missed an event. They can load a poke'mon distribution rom (i can show you an example of one, if you want) on the PSP and have it broadcast it in local wifi as a ds using a flash cart would, and then they could get the event wondercard. I can give you more info on Distribution Roms. I think this would add a lot of notability to the project...

That is probably the lowest priority at the moment. Speed and compatibility are the main things this port needs.

I have a suggestion, I know it must be hard to emulate the DS, mainly for emulating two screens .... why not take it? What I mean is, many DS games use a screen to almost nothing, only show a map, like Mario Kart and Castlevania. Then the emulator on the PSP only show one screen (or have this option), and pressing a button to swap the screen. I guess thus lighten. And I do not know if it's possible, but who knows how to use the cache, as the CPS2

    batman v.1
    (title id)
    (game id)
so it has a code to load off of
