    Default [Beta Release] Mario Masochism!

    Been getting pretty good responses, so I touched up a few things added a saving feature and a small story so now the official first beta release is ready!

    Made from a custom engine, Mario Masochism involves the hero we know and love in an impossibly cruel, very very unique platforming adventure.

    The Beta includes the complete first world (a few hours of gameplay), including a boss, and an autosaving feature. Click the link below to download and try your luck against the game.

    Edit: I realize I forgot to include the controls listed in the game, most are intuitive but just in case:

    Arrow Buttons: Move Left/Right
    X: Jump/Double Jump
    O: Toggle Music
    Square: hold to Run
    Up: Press and hold to use exit portals
    L: Reload Level
    Start: Pause
    Select: Back to main menu [while on pause screen]

    great game , i finally got over the spike pit and wario kills me finally passed the first level, very addicting

    i like how is exteamly hard (cant pass second level ), though is there any chance for power-ups to make you invincible or make everything slowmo?

    @ cmbeke: those are actually 2 pretty good suggestions, I might actually try to incorporate something like that into the game in a future release, or maybe a cheat mode or something that can be enabled... Thanks for the feedback!

    Btw, incase you still haven't figured it out/ still want to try, I uploaded a walkthrough of how to beat a few of the levels: heres the one for level 2:
