Project description:
Age Of Nations is a basic Real Time Strategy game, entirely coded in LUA. It uses graphics from the Official PC Game Age of Empires.Actually, this is a work in progress.This release is just a release candidate to make an official entry to the NeoCoding Compo.It contains a tutorial Campaign, and a free-play scenario to discover the game features.
It has many interesting features, and the whole game engine was coded using object oriented patterns.

Features:
- Map Scrolling & Minimap
- Units creation, Pathfinding for single unit and grouped units moves.
- Build/Repair tasks
- Collecting ressources
- and many others features.

How to use:
All commands are fully detailled in the homebrew game itself while playing the tutorial campain.
Have a look at the README file provided for Menu commands.

Yes, There are priests...But I didn't added taunts, so you will not hear any 'wololo'...
Actually, I'll keep this project aside for a little bit, to work on another one.

Probably in terms of code, this has to be one of the best examples i've seen of good use of metamethods in Lua. Great job on that (Y).
Infact it's probably the only game i've seen them used in, apart from maybe one of yaustar's demos.

Thanks so much...Metatables are quite powerful, and a nice way to design any game engine...

@cmbeke: That's right. My plan is making a release by the end of the next month.

I really liked it,the controls and the whole thing in general was easy to work with and fun to play around with.The only problem i had was when i tried to create two peasants,im guessing since they both spawned in the same spot,it had a conflict somewhere and it gave me a script error.Other than that it was awesome.Im glad to see that something like this is being worked on and i really hope this doesnt become an abandoned project.

EDIT:heres the error i got -- Error: scripts/classes/UnitClass.class:343 bad argument #2 to 'blit' (image expected,got nil) apq --or something that looks like apq

press start to restart
