Hello, I have a new version of my Stepmania Port in LUA. Basically, this has a lot of new features, like a song selector, background support, song banner support, Evaluation screen, MODS, and many more, just look in the ZIP file for the README for all of the new features. This does support .DWI files. The only thing is that I currently cannot attatch the ZIP file, because it is about 1.3 megs. IF SOMEONE CAN PLEASE HOST THIS FOR ME PLEASE REPLY OR PM ME!! Thanks,

Email it to me at mysticales@darkmystics.co m and Ill look at it to see what it is about, if its real, Ill pass to PSPU for hosting.
But somehow I doubt its a real port as that is too much info to do etc. And as you said, its LUA which means its not a real compile from SM source files. But Ill be happy to look at it and see what its about and get hosting for it if its good and real.

Good point, here its uploaded. Try it out etc, I mean I am sure PSPU will host, I could myself as well. It looks fair enough, however I need to downgrade to 1.50 to get LUA working for "me" too much junk on ms MS for the older versions hehe.

It works. Plays nicely. Supports .dwi indeed
![]() But, no music, and eh. Nice job ![]() EDIT: Biggest problem, the arrows are too big, which means less space for the arrows to start coming up, which means less reaction time, which means hard.. It was even too hard for me, and I'm a DDR master :P

yeah the game needs more space, and why doesnt it play any music, ill just edit the code if you want. and also, the sprites are cool and all colorful. Not to sound like a b**chy n00b but the game goes too fast. just slow it down a little bit. and sry again if i sound too picky.

good job and all, but when i try to start in lua, i get error: index.lua:68 error loading sound, and it makes me restart. maybe i'm being a retard and missing the obvious, but if some one could help, it would be much appreciated

If the game is too fast, while you're playing, you can press the L and R buttons to speed up and slow down the bpm

Amazing work so far.
In regards to the resolution, I only thing I really noticed was the background image being stretched. The actual distance from the top to bottom of the screen varies with each game in the DDR series, and also with Stepmania. If you're going to demand a straight-port of Stepmania, then I'm sure you could complain, but as it stands, I think the distance Joreofiorio35 used is perfect for the PSP. Most people who play Stepmania on the PC find the screen area too large to take in everything at once, and use 'speed mods' to increase the speed of arrows, meaning there are less on-screen at once. Players in the arcade usually place a towel over the top-half of the screen, to give the same effect of 'less on-screen at once'. JMania's smaller screen-size seems to follow this ethos as well, using large arrows in a small area, to create a fast-paced, flowing stream of arrows, as opposed to the large mesh of arrows you'd get if you ran the PC version of Stepmania on it's default settings. I'm happy. This project is beyond 'proof of concept', now. It's an actual game, which is already evolving into being much more than a straight port of Dance With Intensity. Grats

This is an excellent Progarm. I am gald to finnally see some effort to make a stepmania style game. I just recently got hoocked and love it. May i suggest a couple of things?
