Default Best way to learn LUA

I am thinking of learning this programing language and this will be my first one. I was wondering if it is easier to read a book or do tuts. I have completed hello world and understand what most of the stuff means. I would just like your personal opnions on this matter.

When I first learned LUA, the only tutorial for the PSP version was the one at luaplayer.org (click on tutorial). Its very helpful and includes many examples.

I hate the tutorials on these forums because every one has the exact same stuff... the image, and the sound! mI find that both annoying and a waste. I dont remember who started the first thread with the tutorial..I think whitehalk(?)...ANYWAY, tutorials=good, books=long. Also, look here, http://lua-users.org/wiki/TutorialDirectory they have most of everything you will ever need to know!

I have looked at a couple of tutorials there and they look pretty good. Time to learn.
