Talking Program to assist in creating characters in smashEdit

I created an easy to use program that creates the anoying 8-bit bmp's required to have smashGpsp display the character pic's correctly.

Its very simple and all it requires is photoshop 7.0 or higher and that the folder named "Pic to 8-bit bmp" in the zip be placed in the C drive to work correctly.

It can group convert pictures and it can convert psd's to 8-bit bmp even if you have multiple layers.

To use, all you have to do is click and drag the picture or a folder of pictures to the exe file (it has an icon of an arrow pointing down).

The converted pictures are in the "Out" folder.

Currently i haven't implemented subfolder picture conversion, so if you have folders in the folder that you want to convert, it may give you an error or it may not convert at all.

Here's a newer version of the pic to 8-bit bmp program.

Changes:
-added subfolder picture conversion.
-changed the name of the "Out" folder to "Converted Pictures".
-instead of coping the files to the C drive the setup installs the files to "C:\Program Files\Pic to 8-bit bmp"
-added shortcuts to the exe and Converted Pictures folder on the desktop and Start\Programs\Pic to 8-bit bmp.

Requirements:
-Still needs Photoshop 7.0 or higher (Don't blame me, it WAS created in photoshop).
Attached Files
File Type: zip Pic to 8-bit bmp v2.exe.zip‎ (80.2 KB, 15 views)
