Xalaga
-PSP Application I can do most of the gfx...i'm very busy working on an os so i need probably one to two more gfx people. I need one lua coder, or c++ if you want to do it in c. Specs are: -First version will have 10 levels, a boss every 5...so two bosses in the first version. -Will need to be able to shoot a laser. -Enemys will need to explode, with minimal animation. Thats kinda cool i guess, but really if you have other projects finish the ones you have before something liek this gets made, its rirdiculous seeing so many projects getting scrapped, and we have to many games of that style coming out as is. and Namco Museum already has a great galaga and that remake.

Ok Noriyke.. are you good enough of a coder so I could make the bosses into segments that you can move (like limbs or a gun) for attacks and stuff or should I make an animation for them?
Also for the moment I have my images I'm working on saved as PNG. Is that cool? Also with Backgrounds/leves should I make a starfield that is animated or can I make a "blank" space and add in stars that I make seperate with some sort of random particle effect? How does the collision dection work? should I try to make ememies more squareish or do you have more abstract edges to work with? The more information I have the better I can do this, because the sample I made is below the standard I would like to set visiualy because they were just that, a sample, so I need imput to produce more finished and nicer images. Should I go a little bigger also or no?

Also depending on how long this takes to make I'll be willing to learn LUA. My semster is almost over and I'll have a lot more time for progects before my classes pick up again.

Ok cool I can do all that... not too sure on the animation within png... I know I've seen it just like lined up in the image, but is there any more to that or is that it?
And with the bg/stars. can the background like scroll and loop and the stars be generated or should the BG also be like the animation for the sprites?

try to make an animated background in photoshop with png (if possible..i havent tried this before) and when we get to coding we'll have it loop...so it'll look descently random.
also have you done any more sprites?..or edited the current ones? if you have i'd like to see them...email to nytrixpsp@gmail.com thanks |

So should I email everything to you from now on or can I still post here or both? I like feed back from multiple people. I've been doing sketches of what I think everything should look like, the actual sprites take a bit longer but I'll get them too you as soon as I can.

Yea, im not that great in lua yet, the best thing i can do right now is work on a good menu, controls and major bug fixing, apart from that i suck :-( Ill talk to you guys on aim later today and tonight.

p.s. animations i would do by a series of pngs also i dont think pngs are animationable << i made that word up so for an animation each frame would be a diff png
