The current Live Fire! version now features unlimited sized mp3's, and it will play mp3's from the default mp3 directory. As a bonus I've added a function that will make the mp3 player jump to the next song when the current song has finished playing.
Feel free to test it, it still needs some tweaking, as there might be some very tiny 'jumps' in the music. But those will be solved within the next few days. You can download it here: http://artillery-shell.com using the Live Fire! option in the menu on the left.

I can play a 200MB MP3? And with listening to said MP3, will it have skips if I want to perform other functions in your OS?

wow, calm down guys :) It will play any filesize, even 200 mb, or 400 mb. It 'might' skip, I'm still working on it. And with skip I mean a really tiny crackle because of a memory operation.
I'm still playing with some ideas on how to buffer it in an optimal way without too many memory operations etc. Remember that the Live Fire! version is a development release, I try to upload a new version every day with things I've been working on. So it has not been tested by anyone. But I provide it as a service to people who are interested in how Artillery evolves.
Btw, I have some mp3's of around 300 mb, mostly mixes. So it's not that uncommon.
Oh, and you don't have to login to download Live Fire!, just use the 'Live Fire!' button in the menu on the left.Last edited by Blue2k; 02-20-2006 at 03:15 PM.

I've updated the Live Fire! release a bit, it has some bug fixes and a new feature. Most important is that it can now read any png up to 640x480 (I haven't tested any higher, so it could be even larger) in the slideshow function. And you can add an unlimited amount of homebrew to it in the sidebar.
Do note that MP3 support is bit broken because I'm working on it. But that's the price to pay for downloading a dev build ain't it? ;) Nothing major, just a small update. I hope to fix that bloody MP3 stuff soon..

Umm... I'm asking you if it tells you that you're banned from the front page login, or if it's telling you that you're banned from the forums.

Has been fixed, I have no idea why that happens, once in a while it will just pick a new member and says he/she is banned.

Of course you can, but it won't do anything . ;) Just kidding. I assume you're wanting to play homebrew through Artillery but keep it in the default directory. At the moment you have to put your homebrew in the MbShell/Game folder.

Does it crash after the boot screen? If so it's a problem with the homebrew loading. I'm currently workin on it so it will read from the default homebrew directory. That might fix this problem too.

Now I didn't read this entire thread, not even the entire first page, but can users add modules? Because I could code a sort of 'system stats' shell that would simply show battery percentage, battery life left, battery status ( charging, not, etc), temperature, clock speed, change clock speed, probably some others as well. Also I could list and name the Connection Configs and their SSIDs. This isn't open source is it?

No, Artillery is not open source.

thats what happens; it starts to load, goes to a console-like screen and some loading stuff scrolls down and then the bus error pops up.

We know about the error and Blue is looking into it. It happens on my PSP as well. I'm sure he'll make a post letting you all know as soon as the problem is fixed. Until then you guys can get the latest stable build on our site. Thanks.
EDIT: I've also put a link up to the Feb. 8th LiveFire! build in our forums.

I'm going to remove the homebrewloader from the bootsequence of Artillery, as it tends to crash quite often. I'll add it again when it's more stable.
I've also fixed the mp3 streaming bug, there were little skips in the audio playback of the mp3 player. I'll try and upload a new release tomorrow, including the mp3 playback fix and a revised homebrew loader, this one will read from the default homebrew dir (ms0:/psp/game).
