NOT YET RELEASED*
How to make PSPSOne compatible games:
Preparation - You will need a program that is able to create boot files from a drive. The best freeware program for this is called
Burnatonce. This is the only program that does not have a 300MB limit when making BIN files.
You will also need a free program called
Win-GZ to compress the file so that it doesn't take up too much space on your PSP. This is the only compression supported by PSPSOne.
1. Insert your PS1 game into the CD Drive of your computer. Now open up Burnatonce.
2. From Burnatonce, go to
Read/Copy and click on "Read to Image."

3. Next, a prompt should come up telling you the size of the file. Click "OK."
Now a new prompt should come up. Where it says "File name:" type in the name of your game, in this instance, Spyro 2. Also, for convenience, I recommend saving it to the Desktop.
Where it says "Save as type" choose CUE Sheet.

4. Click "Save" and wait until it is done creating the BIN file. This process could take up to 10 minutes. A prompt will come up after it is done, asking "Load created image for writing?" Choose "NO."
Once it is done, there should be two files on your Desktop, a small (.cue) file and a large (.bin) file. Delete the (.cue) file, it will not be needed.
5. Now, open up Win-GZ and click "Select File." Choose the BIN file you just created, and click "Open."

Now that your file is selected, click "Gzip."

It should take anywhere from 5 - 10 minutes to do this. Once you are done, your file should be named in this format: filename.bin.gz. (i.e. Spyro 2.bin.gz)
NOTE: This emulator does not currently support ISO's or any type of compression other than GZIP. If you followed the guide then you should have no problem with this.
6. Congratulations! You have now successfully created a PSPSOne compatible Game!
Additional Information - If you have already backed-up your PS1 games as ISO's, you can still convert them to BIN files so that they will be compatible with this emulator.
You will need the a program called
MagicISO. The trial version is available for download on their site.
In this program, all you have to do is go to
Tools and choose "ISO to BIN." From there you can choose the ISO file of your PS1 game and convert it to a BIN file.
Additionally, if you want to further reduce the size of your game, some in-game-videos may be replaced. Make sure to do this before you GZIP your BIN file.
