Default A brief update
Hey everyone,
It's been a little while since my last update, Real life seems to be getting in the way of developing PSPSOne as much as I'd like to. I actually haven't been doing too much work on PSPSOne lately. I decided to take a break and work on a few other small projects. I have been experimenting with SDL + OpenGL together. I've ported over 5+ opensource games that I found on the internet (4 of which that I haven't released yet).
Since my last update, I've added a text-based gui to PSPSOne along with a configuration screen, added in plugin support for controllers, and worked on my BIN/ISO loader CD-Rom support code. I've managed to get in-game on Dragon Ball Z Ultimate 22, and play the game at about 6ish fps.
I've decided that this project is moving a little to slowly, so I've accepted the offers of several programmers who wish to help. Currently, We're setting up a better web page, source control through SVN, and exchanging source code and resources.
My next priority after that is figuring out how to get my dynamic recompiler which was working under PSPE to work consistantly on the real PSP. One of the programmers has offered to help out on the GPU OpenGL plugin, and I plan to put the other on to work on the sound code and/or the GUI.
I believe once the recompiler is fully working on the PSP, I expect to see another huge jump in framerate.
Comments/questions welcome.

lol thanks for finding that ;)
I think that sony sued pMf............what a pitty
why would you say that?
We'd hear about it.. If he was Sued.
But.. It is possible...
If You Dont Like This Go To Sony's Official Forum!
****!
maybe he forgot all about silly old pspu!
just give him time. Psp coding isnt the only thing in their lives. They all prob have jobs just give em some time.
Hey I was just kidding
I dont want him to be SUIED!!
But after all this time....any one would think so
I think the best thing is to buy another psp(used) and update it when v3.0 comes out
So that you can get the best in two worlds............this is my opinion!!!
hey, i found this image while i was chatting in a forum (not pspu), is it related to the emu that pmf will release? and does it really show 61 fps!?

not real
sony releasing ps1 emulator. How about all these guys work on some n64/ds emulator, but not focus on the 2nd touch screen.
that picture almost gave me a heart attack too bad its a fake. People need to quit doing that.
damn all the fakes damn them all to hell i cant wait to play FF on my psp :(
pacmanfan,where are you!!!!
pacmanfan, im in a quandry. I don't want to update! :(
I guess....this sort of....died. And I was so excited. Maybe PMF will still come through eventually.
it better not have died.
NOooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooo......dunt jinx it..
He probably got bought out by Sony to either A) not write the emulator or B) work on the emulator for Sony.
This is sad.
1 - We Know Sony has announced that they are planning to release an emulator for PS1 games. What does it matter about that supposed screenshot?
2 - PacManFan has always been open with us. When he has info, he shares it. If he decides to drop the project he'll most likely tell us (though with all the fickle fans that may flame if he did such a thing I wouldn't blame him if he silently slipped out the back door). I still think that given time and SUPPORT... whatever PMF turns out will likely be better than whatever tastebud tickler Sony throws at us.
3 - Corporations don't buy out people like PMF, they shut them down through legal channels. They don't negotiate or hire from what they consider offenders. Not in these type of circumstances anyway.
EVERYONE!: Hang tough. If you want to see PMF succeed, leave a note of POSITIVE support, refrain from whining about how long it's taking, and/or sit down and shutup.
End of Line.
right!
we all must give support to PMF!
we all waiting for his news!
yeah... i love you pacmanfan
Do we want to PacManFan, but almenos he could give signs of life, not?
keep up your work pacManFan keep the psp scene alive
::channeling all support to PMF::
the whole "emulation" stuff around Sony's "ps1 emulator" is more than likely bull, and the games (that sony owns) will be ported.
we should wait for the emulator that sony is releasing. If we have to pay outrageous fees for each game, like more than $5 or if we can't use our own ps1 games, then somehow see how the emulator is built and work on that, if it's possible.
Ofcoruse Sony are going to charge for the games (and the fee will be much more than $5), and there's no way they are going to allow you to use your own games as that will allow rampant piracy.Zitat:

I would, most definately, love to play a FF7 on my psp.

Thank you, ive always said that. Maybe someone will listen to you.
Is it possible to 'rip' the emulator out of sony's new firmware?
