RemoOS and Lua Args
I'm currently coding an original style OS for Lua which I've been working on for some time, it's called REMO, (meant to stand for Remote as it will have wireless finctionality).
It doesn't clone windows and is designed specifically with ease of use on the PSP in mind.
I wondering want to build in the of launching other Lua apps inside it (kinda like lowser) but passing command line arguments, e.g.
so that the program will have external (rather than internal) program support by file type assocation, e.g. launch all JPG files with image_viewer.lua
Is this arguement passing a possibility? does LUA have the function to read args??
Any help would be appreciated. Please note I have been designing this OS since September 2005 (originally planned on paper) so the project is well under way, I do not want to release too much information in fear of someone stealing my ideas before I have a chance to release them myself!
No, create a function.
while not Controls.read():start() do end
it should be Image.load, but theres a bug in the forums...
What i'm trying to acheive is integration into existing applications by an additional line of code into the old programs just to read the file by a command line argument.
For example, somebody releases an IMAGE SLIDESHOW program in Lua after I finish REMO, the user is able to add that program as a favourite to open JPG files for example within REMO preferences. Even though REMO never knew about the program before, it would be possible to open the program automatically when a JPG is attempted to be opened by an ARGUMENT extension like in C++
e.g. slideshow.lua -image "example.jpg"
Is this possible in LUA?
