I have a working (but rudimentary) prototype of a strategy RPG that I coded for the PC. It's just an all-text program for now, no graphics. But I've never been so motivated with a project such as this one. So I'm in the progress of porting the code over to make a PSP game.
The PSP game WILL have graphics. Most of the stat-crunching code was already made in the prototype. What I'm working on next is finding an efficient way of displaying text with custom fonts. Then I will figure out how to set up the menus (the bulk of any immersive tactical RPG is menus).
My first major goal is to make a workable demo with only one battle. And character stats will be randomly picked.
Edit: The game has a new work-in-progress title - Pocket Tactics!
