Jazz JackRabbit PSP v.01 (alpha)
-------------------------------- This is a PSP adoptation of Jazz JackRabbit 1 by Epic MegaGames. This port is based on OpenJazz port by Alister Thomson http://treacle.hewwo.com/jazz/oj/ It is still in early stage but already playable full screen with music and SFX INSTALLATION ------------------ 1.5 users: Copy folders from 1.5 folder to ms:/PSP/GAME Unzip the contents of the shareware version in to ms:/PSP/GAME/jazz The shareware can be obtained from: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/111 1.0 users: Use EBOOT.PBP from 1.0 folder& files from 1.5/jazz/ folder Unzip the contents of the shareware version in to ms:/PSP/GAME/jazz The shareware can be obtained from: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/111 2.0 users: Please test if either version works with the recent versions of eboot loader for 2.0 (I got reports that it works with 0.9 loader) Notes: I did not try this executable with the full version. If you have a full version please contact me and let me know. You must convert all .psm files to .s3m with Chronos Module Converter [EDIT] Episodes 1,3,4,5,6 seem to work with the CD distribution of the game. !!!If you have the full version - unzip the attached music files in to the game's directory (or do the s3m conversion yourself) Sound FX support is minimal: jump, shoot and get item events are linked to the wav files (jump.wav, shot.wav..) If you have the original/better samples overwrite these files CONTROLS ---------------- [X] FIRE [R.TRIGGER] JUMP [O] CHANGE WEAPON [SELECT] BACK TO MENU/EXIT [TRIANGLE] ENTER Enjoy, DENIS

Ok so all the full versions work your saying?
Also can you please make a guide about this conversion thing your talking about? Im confused abit.. Also no way you can make this like openTTD? Where all we do is upload key files from the full game to the PSP folder and it works?

I only checked the Jazz JackRabbit 1 CD version.... (the "2" versions most likely wont work with this thingie)
Also.. I don't think I can freely distribute the game's data files with my own distribution.... but if you extract the game files from the CD version along with the music files I provided in a separate zip you should be able to run it... If you encounter a problem, try checking stdout.txt/stderr.txt in the game's directory for clues...

I wonder what the real rule is on Abandonware goods here.. hrm.. I will look this up. But chances are, it will be like a "Doom.wad" or "OpenTTD" rule.. providing your own file.

Awesome, Deniska. It works on fw 2.0, using the CD verion of the game. A few bugs though:
It only runs the first episode, even though all the episodes are on the memory stickwhoops, it does play all episodes, even the bonus CD episodes (even the xmas episode), they just don't show up at the episode select screen. You have to move up and down for them to show up at all. Just before the end of the first level, there is a pit where you can fall in to the ground forever, and you need to turn off the psp or you keep falling forever. The background shows up as screwy gradients at the bottom in almost all levels Another bug: the bees don't seem to have any AI programmed for them, they just sit still until you shoot them. The Level statistics don't show at the end of each level. There are no explosion effects when most enemies die, also you can still move when you are dead, up until the disintergrating animation has finished and the screen fades out. The speed up power-up on the second level has absolutely no effect. TNT cannot be picked up. The single diamond shield power up has no effect, either. I haven't tested the 3 diamond (4? I can't remember now) but it might be the same. The music doesn't change when starting a new episode when you are already in one, it just plays the menu music. There are also some random deaths, but I can't quite point you to where these are occurring. I want to to repeat myself, this is absolutely awesome. I love it, it rocks!!! I've owned this game since I was about 10 years old, and it's great to be able to play it on my psp! I don't want to sound negative with all the bug reports, I just want to help this be the best it can be. I love this game!! Thank you!! I'm trying to find my copy of the full version atm to test.
