hex editing is always an option, but the nes emulator nesticle allows you to edit the tiles of an nes rom so u can change the way the graphics look. not much customization room there tho...

I have a question... For any of you that have used pj64 ( the n64 emulator ) did you hear about the new version coming out? (1.7) From what i have heard, is that it will allow for texture editing. So, you could basiclly swap out textures for Zelda OOt and play them with gamecube quality graphics ( for most things ) am i correct in assuming this? well anyway, the thing i was asking, is if there was a way to do this with an nes emulator, then for a bunch of games, swap out graphics with snes ones so that it would be like playing the old games updated.....

the textures would be the same if u did it with the n64 games, but the models are still made up of the same number of polygons. gamecube models use much more polygons than n64 models meaning smoother graphics. basically, doing this would just make "shinier" blocky graphics.

it also wouldnt work with the nes games because the nes cant handle snes graphics, so you would pretty much have to port the nes game to snes to do this.
