For anyone who has ever played the Civilization series, theres a concept called the Golden Age. When you enter this state, production speed is increased, and more inventions come about faster. Now, looking at recent event sin the PSP Dev scene, I can say that this just might be the Golden Age for homebrew. MPH just recently released his 2.0 game loader, which while controversial due to the nature of how it works, fulfills the dream of many many users by allowing us to play 2.0+ games on 1.5 Obviously, support for it will continue to grow until all games from 2.00-2.6 will probably be working (and possibly beyond). Then we have Fanjita's Brown Ale loader. Now we have the ability to play homebrew on 2.01+ as well. Just recently (yesterday) a flash player for the PSP was released, once again opening a whole new world of gaming. The PMP mod, while it has been out for a while, is being updated and now has the ability to stream content. MPH's firmware loader, which has also been out for a while, is still opening up new possibilities. Flashmod, by IchigoKurosaki(grats on your PSP working again btw) with the modified firmware that could be coming out soon will once again open up new worlds of homebrew capabilities. Shells such as PSIX and Artillery Shell are constantly being worked on and improved, allowing new things previously thought impossible. Just today, the news on the DualBoot project was updated, and its been revealed that a great amount of progress has been made. There are rumors of a Universal Downgrader that will allow anyone to downgrade and upgrade at will to any version (this is not confirmed, do not quote me on this). Just recently, netLib was released, which will allow many more homebrews to go into multiplayer. So in essence, an incredible amount of progress is being made in the world of PSP Development.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I couldn't think of a better place. If the mods want to move this, so be it.
And thats all for right now. Feel free to discuss.
